Velikan Point
Velikan Point ( bg, нос Великан, ‘Nos Velikan’ \'nos ve-li-'kan\) is the ice-covered point on the southwest side of the entrance to Nikolov Cove on the southeast coast of Smith Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. The point is named after the settlement of Velikan in Southern Bulgaria. Nikolov Cove
Nikolov Cove ( bg, Николов залив, ‘Nikolov Zaliv’ \ni-'ko-lov 'za-liv\) is the 950 m wide cove on Boyd Strait indenting for 500 m the southeast coast of Smith Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica, and entered northeast of Velikan Point and southwest of Razdel Point. Its head is fed by Ovech Glacier. The cove is named after Todor Nikolov for his support for the First Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition. South Shetland Islands
The South Shetland Islands are a group of Antarctic islands with a total area of . They lie about north of the Antarctic Peninsula, and between southwest of the nearest point of the South Orkney Islands. By the Antarctic Treaty of 1959, the islands' sovereignty is neither recognized nor disputed by the signatories and they are free for use by any signatory for non-military purposes. The islands have been claimed by the United Kingdom since 1908 and as part of the British Antarctic Territory since 1962. Sredets Point ( bg, нос Средец, ‘Nos Sredets’ \'nos sre-'dets\) is the ice-covered point on the southeast coast of Smith Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica, projecting 400 m into Osmar Strait and separating the glacier termini of Krivodol Glacier to the north and Pashuk Glacier to the south. The point is named after the town of Sredets in Southeastern and the settlements of Sredets in Southern Bulgaria. Drinov Peak ( bg, Дринов връх, Drinov Vrah, ) is a peak rising to 1630 m in Imeon Range on Smith Island, South Shetland Islands. Situated 3.6 km north-northeast of Antim Peak, 1.9 km north of Slatina Peak, 2.91 km east-southeast of Jireček Point and 1.85 km southwest of Mount Pisgah. Overlooking Ovech Glacier to the southeast, Vetrino Glacier to the north, Yablanitsa Glacier to northwest, and Chuprene Glacier to the southwest. Bulgarian early mapping in 2009.
