Vehey Vaarey Therein
''Vehey Vaarey Therein'' is a 2003 Maldivian romantic film co-produced and directed by Abdul Faththaah. Produced by Fatthah and Shiham Rasheed under Motion Pictures, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Jamsheedha Ahmed, Mohamed Shavin, Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi and Amira Ismail in pivotal roles. Premise Liusha (Jamsheedha Ahmed) an innocent young woman suffering sexual abuse from her guardian agreed to marry Azim (Yoosuf Shafeeu) a negligent and short tempered man whom she met at a party of a mutual friend's. Brainwashed by Azim's friends as wives are a liability, he shows impolite behavior to his wife and continues an affair with his ex-lover, Aminath Nathasha (Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi) who hints that she will marry him, only if Azim and Liusha's relationship breaks on the latter's culpability. Liusha gets pregnant, distressing Azim and Nathasha. Abdul Faththaah
Abdul Faththaah Abdul Gayyoom (born 6 December 1971), commonly known as Abdul Faththaah is a Maldivian film director, producer, editor, screenwriter and choreographer. One of the most successful filmmakers in Maldivian Cinema, Faththaah is the recipient of a number of awards, including four Gaumee Film Awards, and two Maldives Film Awards. In 2004, Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. He is known for his romantically stylish film-making. Realizing his potential, after a successful venture at inter-office teledrama competition, Faththaah made his directorial debut with a video single, "Dhan Dhan Dhanvaru". Aishath Inaya
Aishath Inaya (15 May 1968) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Aishath Inaya is the mother of local performer and musician, Andhala Haleem. Inaya started her career in the music industry in 1987, by performing the song "Keerithi Lha Kujja" for the local band Zero Degree. Afterwards, she lent her voice for songs included in the album series of ''4 Hand'', followed by several stage shows. In 1995, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Inaya is mainly known for her soft, melodious and subtle songs. In 2018, she was ranked seventh in the list of the "Most Desired Comeback Voices", compiled by ''Dho?''. The Gaumee Film Awards aka Dhivehi Film Awards are presented by National Centre for the Arts to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Maldivian film industry. The Gaumee Film Award ceremony is the oldest film events in Maldives. The ceremony had been sponsored by various private organisations in the past as well as in present provisions. A live ceremony was broadcast to television audiences. History A meeting was arranged at MCM on 30 October 1993, once the government decides to hold a Film Festival to honor the film industry. The awards were first introduced in 1994. Out of the twenty two people invited from the fraternity, only ten people showed up for the meeting.
