''Veettai Paaru Naattai Paaru'' () is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language political satire film directed by Thulasidas. A remake of the Malayalam film ''Sandesam'' (1991), it stars Sivakumar, Saravanan, Thalaivasal Vijay and Jayanthi. The film was released on 5 February 1994. Plot Palanivel, a military personnel, comes home to enjoy retirement with his wife and family. But politics has divided his two sons Siva and Sakthi. They support opposing political parties and things escalate when one of the parties wins in the local elections. Palanivel and his family are caught in the middle and even lose their previous land whose sale proceeds is for the political coffers but ends up in the pockets of the politicians. The brothers eventually realise their folly when their leaders are exposed. Vennira Aadai Moorthy (born 25 July 1936) is an Indian actor and comedian in Tamil cinema. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also played supporting roles. He is a lawyer by education, and holds a B.L. degree in addition to a PhD in astrology. He is married to actress Manimala who played Suhasini's mother in '' Sindhu Bhairavi'' and the heroine in ''Vallavanukku Vallavan'' (1965). He is also a well known script-writer. Kamal Haasan's first full-fledged film as hero ''Maalai Sooda Vaa'', had Murthy as a script writer. He is especially remembered for his Sunday TV Show 'Meendum Meendum Sirippu', which aired on Sun TV for 11 years. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil language, Tamil-language Weekly (news magazine), weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as ''Ponniyin Selvan'' and ''Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia.
