Vasil Andoni
Vasil Andoni (Elbasan, Ottoman Empire, January 28, 1901 - Rome, Italy, July 13, 1994) Albanian politician, teacher. He was the Secretary General and one of leaders the Balli Kombëtar active in World War II in Albania. Biography Vasil studied at Robert College in Constantinople, then took a job at the Elbasan Normal School in his hometown. He became a teacher at a high school in Tirana in 1939 and taught in Prishtina in the early 1940s. In 1942, he joined the Nationalist National Front led by Midhat Frashëri and became its General Secretary. During the battles between the Communist-led National Liberation Movement and the National Front, he joined the National Front units fighting in the mountains of Central Albania in late 1943. Irreligion
Irreligion or nonreligion is the absence or rejection of religion, or indifference to it. Irreligion takes many forms, ranging from the casual and unaware to full-fledged philosophies such as atheism and agnosticism, secular humanism and antitheism. Albanian nationalism is a general grouping of nationalist ideas and concepts generated by ethnic Albanians that were first formed in the 19th century during the Albanian National Awakening ( sq, Rilindja). Balli Kombëtar
The Balli Kombëtar (literally ''National Front''), known as Balli, was an Albanian nationalist, collaborationist and anti-communist resistance movement during the Second World War. It was led by Ali Këlcyra and by Midhat Frashëri. The movement was formed by members from the landowning elite, liberal nationalists opposed to communism and other sectors of society in Albania.... Abas Ermenji
Abas Ermenji (12 December 1913 – 11 March 2003) was an Albanian politician, historian and nationalist fighter with social democratic views who opposed the Albanian Monarchy and Communism. History Ermenji was born in the village of Ermenj, Skrapar on 12 December 1913. He was educated in the Berat elementary and middle school. He attended high school in Shkodra. Between 1934 and 1938, Ermenji went to university at the Sorbonne, Paris and was a member of the Faculty of Literature with a specialization in History. Ermenji returned to Albania in 1938 and was appointed professor at the Lycée of Korçë where he taught until November 1939. He was arrested on 28 November 1939 by the Italians as one of the organizers of a rally against the fascist occupation in Korça. He went into exile on the island of Ventotene.
