Vanyam
''Vanyam'' is a 2016 Malayalam language film produced by P.S. Nagaraj. The film stars Aparna Nair in the lead role along with Anoop Ramesh, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Sumith Samudra, Pauly Valsan and Omana Ouseph. The film is directed by Sohan Seenulal. The music is composed by Sejo John. The screenplay is based on a story written by Sohan Seenulal. The film attracted controversy when a real nun was raped in North India at the time the film was being shot. Plot The film shows the life of three unemployed youths Riyaz, Krishna and Vivek. They spend their lives in Riyaz's bicycle shop discussing the lavish life rich people have. All of them were trying to build up love affairs but all efforts were in vain as girls were not interested in them. Sohanlal.P.S (born 18 December 1978), better known by his screen name Sohan Seenulal, is an Indian film director, screen writer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema . He is known for his character roles in Mammootty films. Career He started his career as a child artist in '' Kabuliwala''(1994) directed by Siddique-Lal. Later he joined as assistant directors to Shafi in starting from '' One Man Show (2001)''. And he continued his career as an assistant director till 2008. Sugathakumari (22 January 1934 – 23 December 2020) was an Indian poet and activist, who was at the forefront of environmental and feminist movements in Kerala, South India. Her parents were the poet and freedom fighter Bodheswaran and V. K. Karthiyayini Amma, a Sanskrit scholar. She was the founder secretary of the Prakrithi Samrakshana Samithi, an organisation for the protection of nature, and of Abhaya, a home for destitute women and a day-care centre for the mentally ill.
