Giovanni Barrella
Giovanni Barrella (30 November 1884 – 23 September 1967) was an Italian film actor, writer and painter. Biography Barrella was born in Milan. His father was a major in the Napoleonic Army. Barrella studied Fine Arts. He worked for Teatro Argentina in Rome and for the Compagnia Lombarda of Alberto Colantuoni. In 1931, he founded his own theatrical company with Paolo Bonecchio. He also published poetry and theatre plays. He died in Erba in 1967. Otello Toso
Otello Toso (22 February 1914 – 15 March 1966) was an Italian film and stage actor. Born in Padua, Toso graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 1939 and immediately later he started his film career. He was particularly prolific in the 1940s, in films in which he usually starred negative characters. After World War II Toso mostly starred in melodramas and genre films, except for Juan Antonio Bardem's '' Death of a Cyclist''. He died at 52 in a car accident in Pieve di Curtarolo, near Padua. Francesco "Checco" Rissone (7 July 1909 – 26 September 1985) was an Italian film, stage and television actor. Life and career Rissone was born in Turin, the younger brother of the more famous Giuditta. He debuted on stage at a young age and often worked in the same companies as his sister. Graduating in economics, in the post-war years Rissone specialized in character roles, in films, television and particularly on stage, often working at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan under the direction of Giorgio Strehler. Mirko Ellis
Mirko Ellis (4 September 1923 – 11 September 2014) was a Swiss-Italian film, stage and television actor. Born Mirko Korcinsky in Locarno to a family of Lithuanian origin, Ellis moved, after his studies, to Italy, where he made his film debut in 1946, in a critically acclaimed role in Aldo Vergano's neorealist drama ''The Sun Still Rises''. One year later, he debuted on stage in the theatrical company of Maria Melato. He later alternated important roles and character roles, in genre films and television productions. Ellis was married to fellow actress Esther Maring, with whom he lived in Alghero, Sardinia. On 11 September 2014, Ellis fell from the balcony of his fourth-floor apartment and died.
