Vanessa Dale
Vanessa "Van" Dale Raven Sterling, was the main character and the lead heroine in the now-defunct American soap opera ''Love of Life''. She was originally played by Peggy McCay (1951-1955); then by actress Bonnie Bartlett (1955-1959) and Audrey Peters played Vanessa to the show's end. The Good Sister Vanessa, or "Van" as she was more commonly called, was the older of the two daughters born to Will and Sarah Dale in the fictional community of Barrowsville, New York. She was considered to be the "good" sister, always thinking of others; whereas her sister, self-centered Meg Dale was thought of as the "bad" sister, always putting herself first. Bruce Sterling (Love Of Life)
Bruce Sterling was a fictional character in the now-cancelled American soap opera, ''Love of Life''. He was played by actor Ron Tomme from 1959 to the show's demise in 1980. Van's soulmate Bruce was the second husband of heroine Vanessa Dale. He was a teacher at Winfield Academy, a private boys' school in the fictional upstate New York community of Rosehill. Raymond Herbert Wise (born August 20, 1947) is an American actor. Eileen Letchworth (July 19, 1922 – February 15, 2003) was an American actress. Early years Born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, Letchworth was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Letchworth. Her father was president of the Bethel Township School Board for 16 years, and her grandfather, G. E. Letchworth, was a Methodist minister. She had a sister, Doris. Joanna Roos (born Dorothy Roos, January 11, 1901 – May 13, 1989) was an American Broadway, radio, and television actress and a playwright. She was born in Brooklyn in 1901 and attended Syracuse University as well as Yvette Guilbert's School in New York and Paris. Early years Roos was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Roos of Upper Montclair, New Jersey. She was born in Brooklyn, and her family moved to Syracuse when she was 10 years old. She completed high school in Syracuse and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Syracuse University.
