Roman Baskin (25 December 1954 – 13 September 2018) was an Estonian actor and director of stage and screen. His parents were Eino Baskin and Ita Ever. Leila Säälik (born 4 December 1941) is an Estonian stage, film and radio actress. Early life and education Leila Säälik was born in Tallinn. Her father was a machinist and her mother was a seamstress. She attended primary and secondary schools in Tallinn, graduating from Tallinn 7th Secondary School in 1960. Afterward, she enrolled at the Viljandi Cultural School (now, the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy), graduating in 1963. Maria Klenskaja (29 January 1951 – 6 January 2022) was an Estonian actress. Early life and career Klenskaja was born in Tartu, of Russian parentage. From 1968 until 1970, she worked in the Estonian State Youth Theatre in Tallinn as a make-up artist and in the prop department. In 1974 she graduated from the Tallinn State Conservatory's Performing Arts Department. Since 1974 she had been a contracted actress at the Estonian Drama Theatre. Ester Pajusoo (born Ester Lage; 1 July 1934) is an Estonian stage, film, radio and television actress whose career has spanned nearly six decades. Early life Ester Pajusoo was born Ester Lage in the small village of Nõmme in rural Tuhala Parish (now, Kose Parish; not to be confused with Nõmme, one of the urban administrative districts of Tallinn), she was the youngest of three daughters of Johannes Lage and Marie Johanna "Anni" Lage (''née'' Kull). Tõnu Aav (21 January 1939 – 14 August 2019) was an Estonians, Estonian stage, film, TV, and radio actor. Aav was born in Tallinn and graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 1961. Kaljo Kiisk (3 December 1925 – 20 September 2007) was a Soviet and Estonian actor, film director, screenwriter and politician. He was best known for his roles as Kristjan Lible from ''Spring'' ( et, Kevade), ''Summer'' (''Suvi'') and ''Autumn'' (''Sügis''), film adaptations of Oskar Luts' novels, and as Johannes Saarepera from ETV's long-running ''Õnne 13''. Eino Baskin
Eino Baskin (17 June 1929 – 11 March 2015) was an Estonian actor and theatre director. Baskin was born in Tallinn to Jewish parents Hirsch and Maria Baskin (née Raage). In 1951 he graduated from before becoming engaged at the Estonian Drama Theatre. In 1980 he established Vanalinnastuudio and for a long time he was its director. When Vanalinnastuudio was closed, he established Old Baskin's Theater. Personal life In 1954, he married actress Ita Ever. Their son was actor and director Roman Baskin. The couple later divorced. He married his second wife, Galina Dõrdina 1961, with whom he had a daughter who died in infancy. The couple remained married for 38 years, until Dõrdina's death in 1999.
