Van Le Ngoc
Van Le Ngoc (Lê Ngọc Vǎn) is a ballet dancer and a choreographer. Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, he moved to live and study in France in 1996. From 1996 to 1998, he followed his study to become a ballet dancer at National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon (CNSM). In September 1998, Van signed his first contract with the Ballet National de Marseille, under the direction of Marie-Claude Pietragalla, Etoile of the Paris Opera Ballet. Five years later in 2003, he left Ballet National de Marseille to join the English National Ballet in London. Ballet
Ballet () is a type of performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance in the fifteenth century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia. Marie-Claude Pietragalla
Marie-Claude Georgette Yvonne Pietragalla (born 2 February 1963 in Paris) is a French dancer and choreographer. Biography Pietragalla was born in Paris to a Coriscan father and mother from Bordeaux. At 16, she joined the Ballet de l'Opera National de Paris and was named Principal dancer, étoile on 22 December 1990 after the performance of Don Quixote in which she played the role of Kitri. In 1998, she was appointed to the leadership of the National Ballet of Marseille, where she remained five years. After a conflict, the dancers of the company obtained her resignation. Serge Lifar ( ua, Сергій Михайлович Лифар, ''Serhіy Mуkhailovуch Lуfar'') ( 15 December 1986) was a Ukrainian ballet dancer and choreographer, famous as one of the greatest male ballet dancers of the 20th century. Not only a dancer, Lifar was also a choreographer, director, writer, theoretician about dance, and collector. Richard Wherlock
Richard Wherlock (born 21 August 1958 in Bristol) is a British dancer and choreographer. He has directed ''Ballett Basel'' since 2001. Wherlock studied dance at the Ballet Rambert School and later became a Solo Dancer at the Cologne Dance Forum. Wherlock has worked as a choreographer with various European ensembles and has collaborated with renowned stage and costume designers. He is also a juror for numerous international dance competitions. In addition to his dance career, Wherlock has been involved in film and television, creating choreography for Claude Lelouch's film Hasards au coïncidences and collaborating with Swiss director Markus Fischer on two award-winning films. Maurice Béjart
Maurice Béjart (; 1 January 1927 – 22 November 2007) was a French-born dancer, choreographer and opera director who ran the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in Switzerland. He developed a popular expressionistic form of modern ballet, talking vast themes. He was awarded Swiss citizenship posthumously. Paul Belville Taylor Jr. (July 29, 1930 – August 29, 2018) was an American dancer and choreographer.
