Valley Relics Museum
Valley Relics Museum is a museum located in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. The ''LA Weekly'' named the Valley Relics Museum one of its 2017 winners of "Best Of L.A.: Arts & Entertainment". Founded in 2013 by Tommy Gelinas, Valley Relics Museum's collection spans from the 1800s to the present day, with over 20,000 items. Notable items include the original signage of popular North Hollywood country music venue the Palomino Club, and other San Fernando Valley landmarks. It also houses original costumes designed by and an made by North Hollywood-based rodeo tailor Nudie Cohn, costume designer for country music stars as well as Elvis Presley; two of the "Nudiemobiles", cars that were customized by Cohn, that remain in Cohn's family are housed at the museum (Cohen's 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible and 1964 Pontiac Safari wagon). Van Nuys
Van Nuys () is a neighborhood in the central San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Home to Van Nuys Airport and the Valley Municipal Building, it is the most populous neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley. Chatsworth, Los Angeles
Chatsworth is a suburban neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles, California, in the San Fernando Valley. The area was home to Native Americans, some of whom left caves containing rock art. Chatsworth was explored and colonized by the Spanish beginning in the 18th century. The land was part of a Spanish land grant, Rancho Ex-Mission San Fernando, in the 19th century, and after the United States took over the land following the Mexican–American War, it was the largest such grant in California. Isaac Newton Van Nuys
Isaac Newton Van Nuys (; November 20, 1836 – February 12, 1912) was an American businessman, farmer and rancher who owned the entire southern portion of the San Fernando Valley—an area 15 miles long and 6 miles wide. With the approach of the Owens River aqueduct, and the possibility of intensive small farming, Los Angeles speculators, including Harry Chandler of the ''Los Angeles Times'', combined to buy out Van Nuys in 1909 and develop the San Fernando Valley. Isaac Van Nuys was not the founder of Van Nuys in 1911—he died in 1912—but was made the honorary godfather of the hardscrabble town, later to be the Valley's center, by the development syndicate as a promise in the land sale. Tail O’ the Pup is an iconic Los Angeles, California hot dog stand actually shaped like a hot dog. Built in 1946, the small, walk-up stand has been noted as a prime example of ''"programmatic" or "mimetic"'' novelty architecture. It was one of the last surviving mid-20th century buildings that were built in the shapes of the products they sold. The Tiffany Theater was the first theater on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California. It stood west of La Cienega between the Playboy Club and Dino's Lodge restaurant. Before being converted from the Mary Webb Davis Modeling School office at 8532 W. Sunset Blvd to a movie theater, the building had been seen in the 1958–1964 television series ''77 Sunset Strip'' as the office for detectives Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., Roger Smith, and Edd Byrnes.
