Valerian Gvilia
Valerian "Vako" Gvilia ( ka, ვალერიან "ვაკო" გვილია, ; uk, Валеріане Ярославович Гвілія; born 24 May 1994) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ekstraklasa club Piast Gliwice. He also has Ukrainian citizenship. Besides Ukraine, he has played in Belarus, Switzerland, and Poland. Club career Gvilia is product of youth team system Metalurh Zaporizhya. He made his Ukrainian Premier League debut for Metalurh entering as a second time playing against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk on 15 August 2014. Gvilia signed a contract with Belarusian club BATE Borisov in early July 2016. In January 2018, Gvilia signed a three-year deal with Swiss Super League side Luzern. The Belarusian Premier League or the Vyšejšaja Liha or the Vysheyshaya Liga ( be, Вышэйшая ліга, russian: Высшая лига, "Top League") is the top division of professional football in Belarus, and is organized by the Belarusian Football Federation. The number of teams in the competition has varied over the years from as high as 17 (1992–93 season) to as low as 11 (2012). As of 2016, the league included 16 teams. Each team plays every other team twice during the course of the season. At the end of the season, the two teams with the fewest points are automatically relegated to the Belarusian First League, while the third worst team plays a promotion-relegation playoff against the third best team from the second tier. The 2015–16 Ukrainian Premier League season is the 25th top-level football competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the eighth since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. Because of sponsorship the league changed its title for 2015–16 season to League Parimatch. The competition commenced on 17 July when Metalurh Zaporizhya hosted Zorya Luhansk in Zaporizhzhia. The 2014–15 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 24th since its establishment. The competition commenced on 25 July when Metalurh Donetsk hosted Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in Lviv. With the continuation of the 2014 pro-Russian conflict in Ukraine in the oblasts of Donetsk and Luhansk the Football Federation of Ukraine, the league reduced the number of teams. Format Initially, a new format was proposed to be introduced for this season by FC Shakhtar Donetsk. The first stage was to be a regular round robin of home/away format. In the second stage the championship was to have an additional play-off format where participants, upon completion of the regular round robin, were to be split into three groups of 4 (1–4 places), 4 (5–8 places) and 6 (9–14 places) teams. Aleksandar Vuković ( sr-cyrl, Александар Вуковић, ; born 25 August 1979) is a Serbian professional football manager and former player who currently manages Polish Ekstraklasa club Piast Gliwice. Club career He started his career at Borac Banja Luka. Still young, he moved to FK Partizan youth team. Where he played until 2000. While in Serbia, he also played for FK Teleoptik and FK Milicionar. He signed a contract with Iraklis Thessaloniki on 17 December 2008. He retired after a four-year stint in Ekstraklasa side Korona Kielce.
