Valentine's Day (TV Series)
''Valentine's Day'' is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from September 18, 1964 until May 7, 1965. The series starred Tony Franciosa as Valentine Farrow, a swinging Manhattan publishing executive, and Jack Soo (later of ''Barney Miller'') as Rocky Sin, a poker-playing con-artist and Farrow's valet. The show was created by Hal Kanter and lasted only one season. One noteworthy episode was produced as a tie-in to the movie ''Rio Conchos'', in which Franciosa co-starred; he played both Valentine and his character, Juan Luis Martinez, from the feature. Hal Kanter
Hal Kanter (December 18, 1918 – November 6, 2011) was a writer, producer and director, principally for comedy actors such as Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, and Elvis Presley (in '' Loving You'' and ''Blue Hawaii''), for both feature films and television. Kanter helped Tennessee Williams turn the play by Williams into the film version of ''The Rose Tattoo''. He was regularly credited as a writer for the Academy Award broadcasts. Jim Nabors
James Thurston Nabors (June 12, 1930 – November 30, 2017) was an American actor, singer, and comedian, widely known for his signature character, Gomer Pyle. Nabors was discovered by Andy Griffith while working at a Santa Monica, California, Santa Monica nightclub, and he later joined ''The Andy Griffith Show'', where he played the good-natured, unsophisticated Gomer Pyle. The character proved so popular that Nabors was given his own successful spin-off show, ''Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.'' Nabors also became a popular guest on variety shows that showcased his rich baritone singing voice in the 1960s and 1970s. Rio Conchos (film)
''Rio Conchos'' is a 1964 American Cinemascope Western film directed by Gordon Douglas and starring Richard Boone, Stuart Whitman, Anthony Franciosa, Edmond O'Brien, and in his motion picture debut, Jim Brown, based on Clair Huffaker's novel "Guns of Rio Conchos" published in 1958. Huffaker's novel is reminiscent of the John Wayne films '' The Comancheros'' (for which Huffaker co-wrote the screenplay) and ''The Searchers''. The main female role, played by Wende Wagner in a black wig, has no English dialogue. ''Rio Conchos'' was filmed in Moab, Utah, though the Conchos River and most of the action of the film takes place in Mexico. A valet or varlet is a male servant who serves as personal attendant to his employer.
