Valentina Fortunato
Valentina Fortunato (5 August 1928 - 21 June 2019) was an Italian actress, mainly active on stage. Life and career Born in Milan, Fortunato made her stage debut in 1948, in a rendition of William Shakespeare's ''Twelfth Night'' directed by Fantasio Piccoli at the Teatro Quirino in Rome. After working several years at the Piccolo Teatro in Genoa, in 1953 she became the main actress ("primattrice") in the stage company of the Piccolo Teatro (Milan), Piccolo Teatro in Milan. Married with the actor Sergio Fantoni, in the 1960s she formed the innovative stage company "Compagnia degli Associati" with him, Giancarlo Sbragia, Luigi Vannucchi and Ivo Garrani. She worked on stage with prominent directors including Luchino Visconti, Giorgio Strehler, Luca Ronconi, Gabriele Lavia, Orazio Costa, Franco Branciaroli. ''Radiocorriere TV'' (since 1954), formerly ''Radiocorriere'' (1930–1954) and ''Radio Orario'' (1925–1930), is an Italian-language listings magazine, with weekly print editions published in Italy between 1925 and 1995 under the press of RAI (formerly URI). Luca Ronconi
Luca Ronconi (8 March 1933 – 21 February 2015) was an Italian actor, theater director, and opera director. Biography Ronconi was born in Sousse, Tunisia. After growing up in Tunisia, where his mother was a school teacher, Ronconi graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Rome in 1953. He acted in productions of Luigi Squarzina, Orazio Costa, Michelangelo Antonioni, and others. In 1963, he directed his first play, ''La buona moglie'', and from then on worked almost exclusively as a director. His first great success was with ''Orlando furioso'' that also toured in the US in 1970. Ronconi is considered to have been one of Europe's most influential theatrical directors. The ''Corriere della Sera'' (; en, "Evening Courier") is an Italian daily newspaper published in Milan with an average daily circulation of 410,242 copies in December 2015. First published on 5 March 1876, ''Corriere della Sera'' is one of Italy's oldest newspapers and is Italy's most read newspaper. Its masthead has remained unchanged since its first edition in 1876. It reached a circulation of over 1 million under editor and co-owner Luigi Albertini, between 1900 and 1925. He was a strong opponent of socialism, of clericalism, and of Prime Minister Giovanni Giolitti who was willing to compromise with those forces. A femoral fracture is a bone fracture that involves the femur. They are typically sustained in high-impact trauma, such as car crashes, due to the large amount of force needed to break the bone. Fractures of the diaphysis, or middle of the femur, are managed differently from those at the head, neck, and trochanter. ''Kapò'' () is a 1960 Italian film about the Holocaust directed by Gillo Pontecorvo. It was nominated for the Academy Award as Best Foreign Language Film. It was an Italian-French co-production filmed in Yugoslavia. Plot Naive 14-year-old Edith ( Susan Strasberg) and her Jewish parents are sent to a concentration camp, where the latter are killed. Gilberto Pontecorvo (; 19 November 1919 – 12 October 2006) was an Italian filmmaker associated with the political cinema movement of the 1960s and 1970s. He is best known for directing the landmark war docudrama ''The Battle of Algiers'' (1966), which won the Golden Lion at the 21st Venice Film Festival, and earned him Oscar nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. His other films include the ''Kapò'' (1960), a Holocaust drama; ''Burn!''
