Valentin Khrushch
Valentin Khrushch (January 24, 1943, Odessa – October 24, 2005, Kimry, Tver region) was a Ukrainian artist, one of the central figures of the Odessa school of unofficial art. Biography Valentin Khrusch was born on January 24, 1943, in occupied Odessa. In the 1950s he studied at the Odessa Art School (teachers Zaitsev, Yegorov, Pavlyuk, Fraerman). Valentin Khrushch was one of the key figures in non-conformist and underground art in Odessa, and then in Moscow, which was developing in the 1960s and 1970s. He was the main organizer of the so-called open-air exhibitions — works were hanging on fences along the streets. The "Fence Exhibition" organized by artists Valentin Khrushch and Stanislav Sychev in 1967 "Sychik + Hrushchik" on the Odessa Opera Theater fence became the starting point for "Odessa nonconformism". Tver ( rus, Тверь, p=tvʲerʲ) is a city and the administrative centre of Tver Oblast, Russia. It is northwest of Moscow. Population: Tver was formerly the capital of a powerful medieval state and a model provincial town in the Russian Empire, with a population of 60,000 on 14 January 1913. The Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum (known popularly as the Zimmerli Art Museum) is located on the Voorhees Mall of the campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Odessa Art Museum
Odesa National Fine Arts Museum or Odesa National Art Museum ( uk, Одеський національний художній музей) is one of the principal art galleries of the city of Odesa. Founded in 1899, it occupies the Potocki Palace (), itself a monument of early 19th century architecture. The museum now houses more than 10 thousand pieces of art, including paintings by some of the best-known Russian and Ukrainian artists of late 19th and early 20th century.
