Val Ogden
Valeria Juan Ogden (; February 9, 1924 – April 9, 2014) was an American politician, management consultant, and educator. Born in Okanogan, Washington, Ogden received her bachelor's degree in sociology from Washington State University. She worked as a non-profit management consultant and adjunct professor at Lewis & Clark College and Portland State University. Ogden served in the Washington House of Representatives from 1991 until 2003 as a Democrat and served as Speaker Pro Tempore. She served six terms as State Representative. Ogden died of cancer in 2014. She married Dan Ogden in 1946. Washington State University (Washington State, WSU, or informally Wazzu) is a public land-grant research university with its flagship, and oldest, campus in Pullman, Washington. The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) is a nonprofit organization with a focus on empowerment, leadership, and rights of women, young women, and girls in more than 100 countries. The World office is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland, and the nonprofit is headquartered in Washington, DC.
