Vaikarai Pookkal
''Vaikarai Pookkal'' is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by E. Mu. Vetrivalan. The film stars Raja, Rajashree, Ponvannan and newcomer Annam, with Shanmugasundaram, Samikannu, A. K. Veerasamy, Karan and Tharini playing supporting roles. The film had musical score by Devendran and was released on 30 December 1996. Plot Many years ago, in the village Rasarasanpatti, Nallathambi (Ponvannan) who was from a poor family fell in love with Maari (Tharini) who was a from a wealthy family. Her brother Vellaisamy Gounder (Shanmugasundaram), the village chief, was against their love and humiliated him for being poor. Thereafter, Nallathambi married a lower-caste woman and Vellaisamy Gounder who strictly followed the caste system forced them to live outside their village. Raja (Tamil Actor)
Daggubati Venkatesh, credited as Raja, is an Indian actor who has acted in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu language films. The actor made his debut in the 1981 Tamil film, ''Paakku Vethalai'', before going on to become a leading actor in the Tamil film industry from 1986 to 2000. He went on to play second lead roles and supporting characters in several films including Kamal Haasan's '' Sathi Leelavathi'' and Rajinikanth's '' Mappillai''. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. Malgudi Subha (born 17 October 1965; also spelled as Malgadi Shuba) is an Indian playback singer. She has recorded songs in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Anuradha Sriram (born 9 July 1970) is an Indian carnatic and playback singer and child actress who hails from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. ''Meendum Savithri'' () is a 1996 Tamil-language drama film directed by Visu. The film stars Revathi, Saranya Ponvannan, Nizhalgal Ravi and Raja, with Ramesh Aravind, Visu, Nagesh, Jaiganesh, Annapoorna, Seetha and Pandu playing supporting roles. The film, produced by B.
