Vagif Sadygov
Vagif Sadygov (born 1 April 1959, Azerbaijani: ''Vaqif Sadıqov'') is an Azerbaijani football manager. Life and career Sadygov started playing football as a midfielder for Araz Nakhichevan. His club career included spells with Neftchi Baku, Khazar Sumgayit and FC Nistru Otaci. After end of his career, he moved into management, first with Neftchi Baku in 1993, then with ANS Pivani Baki. He also managed Shafa Baku, Azerbaijan national under-21 football team in 1996, which then led him to manage Azerbaijan national football team in 1997. After unsuccessful results, he dismissed in 1998, but returned in 2005 to replace the Brazilian Carlos Alberto Torres. He also managed Shafa Baku, Genclerbirliyi Sumgayit, Azerbaijan national under-21 football team. The division is run by Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, AFFA. No teams are promoted to Azerbaijan Premier League, Premier Division. The Azerbaijan Cup is a major association football competition in Azerbaijan. In its original form, it started in 1936, when Azerbaijan was a republic of the Soviet Union and it was not disputed by Azerbaijani teams in the Soviet league pyramid. Compared to cups in many other countries, Azerbaijan attracts considerably less public interest and even the cup final is rarely sold out. Consequently, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan has experimented with the format in order to raise the profile of the cup. Genclerbirliyi Sumgayit
FK Genclerbirliyi Sumqayit () was an Azerbaijani football club based in Sumqayit. They were founded in 2003 and won the Azerbaijan First Division title the same year, gaining promotion to the Azerbaijan Premier League.
