Vaanavil
''Vaanavil'' () is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama film produced by Guru Films and directed by Manoj Kumar. The film stars Arjun, Abhirami and Prakash Raj in lead roles. The film released to mixed reviews, but performed well at the box office. Plot Surya ( Arjun) a farmer's son from Madurai, J. Prakash ( Prakash Raj) the only son of a billionaire industrialist and Priya ( Abhirami) an Ooty-based tea estate heiress board a train to Delhi as strangers, in the Chennai central station. They get seats next to each other and introduce themselves to one another. As a coincidence, they get to know that all 3 of them have passed the UPSC exams with high ranks, and are going to Delhi for phase-4 of their Civil Service training and become friends. During the course of the training, Surya loves Priya, whereas Prakash lusts after her. Manoj Kumar is an Indian film director, producer and television actor who has directed Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films and Tamil serials. He is the brother-in-law of Bharathiraja. Career After assisting Bharathiraja in various films, he made his directorial debut with ''Mannukkul Vairam'' (1986). He directed several films in 1990s such as, ''Guru Paarvai'' (1998) starring Prakash Raj, won positive reviews. Abhirami (actress)
Abhirami () (née Divya Gopikumar; July 1983) is an Indian actress and television host. She has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. Early life and education She was born as Divya in July 1983, to Gopikumar and Pushpa in Kerala.She attended Christ Nagar English High School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, in Trivandrum and did predegree training from Mar Ivanios College, before graduating in programs for psychology and communications from the College of Wooster in Ohio. Singamuthu (born 8 December 1958) is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films as a comedian. Career Singamuthu has primarily appeared in comedy roles in films as a supporting actor debuting in ''Neram Nalla Irukku'' (1987).
