Vaaitha
''Vaaitha'' is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Mahivarman C. S. The film features Mu Ramaswamy, Nassar and Pugazh Mahendran, and was released on 27 May 2022. Cast Plot A poor laundry worker gets injured in a road accident and finds himself struggling for justice. He and his family suffers, due to conflicts among two different caste groups. Production Mahivarman first started planning for the film in 2018, under the tile of ''Yegaali''. The film marked the acting debut of Pugazh Mahendran, son of C. Mahendran, one of the state executive members of the Indian Communist Party. The film's teaser was released by Raju Murugan in April 2022. The film was scheduled to release on 6 May 2022 but was pushed on the day of release to 27 May 2022, in an attempt to secure more screens. Mu Ramaswamy
Mu Ramaswamy is an Indian theatre artist, professor of drama, and actor best known for his dramas ''Durgira Avalam'', a Tamil adaptation of Sophocles' '' Antigone'', and ''Kalagakkarar Thozhar Periyar'', a biography of the life of Periyar. He later moved on to playing major roles in Tamil films starting with '' Joker'' (2016) and '' K.D.'' (2019). Career Theatrical career Ramaswamy began his career by pursuing a Ph.D in theatrical drama. He created the theatrical group ‘Nija Nataka Iyakkam' (‘Real Theatre Movement') and staged several plays. His interest in acting has led him to stage several plays in Tamil including Durgira Avalam and Kalagakkarar Thozhar Periyar. Ramaswamy has also translated several dramas into Tamil due to his love for Tamil, which resulted from him growing up during the Dravidian movement. Nassar (actor)
M. Nassar (born 5 March 1958) is an Indian actor, director, producer, dubbing artist, singer and politician who mainly works in the Tamil and Telugu film industries he has also worked in few Malayalam, English and Hindi films. He is the incumbent president of the Nadigar Sangam. Early life and education Nassar was born on 5 March 1958 to Mehaboob Basha and Mumtaz in Tamil Nadu, India. He studied in St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School (Chengalpattu). He moved to Madras (now Chennai) after school, where he finished his pre-university at Madras Christian College. At Madras Christian College, he was an active member of the Dramatic Society. Later for a brief time, he worked in the Indian Air Force. Raju Murugan
Raju Murugan is a writer, journalist turned filmmaker from Tiruvarur. His works include ''Vattiyum Muthalum'', ''Ondru'' and ''Gypsy'', all of which were published in ''Ananda Vikatan''. He made his directorial debut with ''Cuckoo (2014 film), Cuckoo'' (2014).
