V For Visa
''V for Visa'' is a short dark romantic comedy film about an American who is facing deportation from Scotland. His only solution is to marry someone and quick. ''V for Visa'' is the second installment of a trilogy of short films by Worrying Drake Productions. Plot Brad (Tyler Collins) is an American musician facing deportation from Scotland when his visa application is rejected. Without any other conceivable alternative, he has to marry someone to stay in the country and asks his band's stalker Stacey (Natalie Wallace) if she would go along with his plan. However, after the ceremony, it becomes clear that Stacey is not as she seems and already has plans for the newly wed couple. John McPhail (director)
John McPhail is a Scottish film director and screenwriter. Life and career McPhail studied Cinematography at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During his time there he met and formed a close working relationship with Tyler Collins and Andrew Lanni. After graduating from the Conservatoire he worked on the BBC television series '' Waterloo Road'' and was assistant camera operator on the film ''Up There'' by Zam Salim. In 2013 he formed his own production company Worrying Drake Productions and produced a trilogy of short films with Collins and Lanni to produce a trilogy of short comedy films; ''Notes'' was a romantic comedy about a pair of roommates whose relationship develops through a series of post it notes. Andrew Lanni
Andrew Lanni is a Scottish Film producer from Kirkwall in Orkney. He has also worked on various films as an assistant director. Life and career Andrew Lanni studied Digital Film & Television at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During his time here, he worked as a producer on the film ''The Taxidermist'' which was later nominated for the Best Fiction accolade at the 2012 British Academy Scotland New Talent Awards. It also was nominated again for the Best Fiction accolade at the student awards ceremony run by the Royal Television Society. In 2013, he was reunited with his fellow students John McPhail and Tyler Collins for the short film ''Notes'' in which Lanni was the producer. Tyler Collins (actor)
Tyler Collins is an American actor and composer from Anchorage, Alaska. He is possibly best known for his role as the Boy in '' Just Say Hi'' and as James in '' Where Do We Go from Here?'' in which he was nominated for the Best Actor accolade at the 2015 Sydney Indie Film Festival in Australia. He later went on to win the Best Score award at the same event for his composition work on the film. Early life and film career Collins was born in Anchorage in Alaska. His father was a musician who was drafted into the army during the Vietnam War and was given the option of serving in South East Asia or Alaska. Jim Sweeney (born 8 August 1956) is a Scottish actor. Over the years, Sweeney has starred in a variety of productions for both film and television. Starting with a small role in ''River City'', he later went on to play Mick Turner in ''The Crews'' opposite actors such as David Hayman. John Gaffney is a Scottish actor. Life and career John Gaffney was born in Hamilton in Scotland and moved to the island of Jersey in 1983. It was here where he got a taste for acting after being approached to take on a stage role by a local theatre director whilst singing in a night club.
