VV SHO
VV SHO, or in the long form Voetbalvereniging Steeds Hooger Oud-Beijerland, is a Dutch football club from Oud-Beijerland. It was established on 18 July 1930 and plays on Saturdays. The first squad competes in 2017-18 Eerste Klasse Saturday. History Since 1992, VV SHO hovers between Hoofdklasse (12 seasons), Eerste klasse (10 seasons), and Tweede Klasse (4 seasons). In 1996-97 it was the runner-up in the KNVB Amateur Cup, after losing in the finals to SV Babberich 2-0. In the 2005–06 KNVB Cup, the Oud-Beijerland side passed Young PSV after the latter was disqualified for including an ineligible player. SHO then lost 11–1 to ADO Den Haag in The Hague. In the 2013–14 KNVB Cup, the national soccer cup of the Netherlands, VV SHO lost at its Oud Beijerland grounds against Amsterdamsche FC, 1–2. Oud-Beijerland
Oud-Beijerland () is a town and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland, now a part of the Hoeksche Waard municipality. With a population of 24,575 in 2020, it is the most populous town of the Hoeksche Waard island. The town is located adjacent to the confluence of the Oude Maas and Spui River. Jack Van Den Berg
Jack B. van den Berg (born 7 February 1959) is a Dutch football manager and a former player. While coaching ASWH, he won the 2005 national amateur championship and the 2006 Rinus Michels Award for managers in nonprofessional leagues. During a long stint at BVV Barendrecht Van den Berg became a full-time coach. In 2015–2016 he coached the first squads of two small town rivals, promoting both ASWH to the Saturday Derde Divisie and IFC to the Sunday Hoofdklasse. From February until October 2018 he coached VV Katwijk, winning a Tweede Divisie championship. Player career Jack van den Berg was born in Kralingen, Rotterdam. He started playing at SV Lombardijen. He then played on youth teams of Feyenoord Rotterdam. Throughout the 1980s, Van den Berg played for Zwart-Wit '28. Amsterdamsche Football Club, known as AFC, is a football club from Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is currently playing in the Tweede Divisie, the third tier of football in the Netherlands. History 19th century: Foundation AFC was founded in 1895 when a group of young Amsterdammers decided to create a football club. On 18 January 1895 the founding meeting took place in the basement of a house on the Koninginneweg where after a long discussion the name "Amsterdamsche Football Club (AFC)" was chosen. The 2013–14 KNVB Cup was the 96th season of the Dutch national football knockout tournament. The competition began on 28 August 2013 in the first round and concluded with the final on 20 April 2014. AZ were the defending champions, having won the cup the previous season. The winners qualified for the play-off round of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League. Participants 82 teams participate in the 2013-14 cup. The 18 clubs of the Eredivisie and the 17 clubs of the Eerste divisie (excluding reserve teams) qualified automatically, entering in the second round. Alles Door Oefening Den Haag (), commonly known by the abbreviated name ADO Den Haag (), is a Dutch association football club from the city of The Hague. They play in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football, following relegation from the Eredivisie in the 2020–21 season. Eerste Klasse
The Eerste Klasse ( en, First Class) started as the 1st tier of football in the Netherlands and is now the 6th tier. The league is divided into eleven divisions, six for Saturday clubs and five for Sunday clubs. These divisions correspond to the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association: each district organises a Saturday competition and a Sunday competition, except for South II, which only has a Sunday competition. Each division consists of 14 teams. The champion of the Eerste Klasse divisions are promoted to the Vierde Divisie (formerly Hoofdklasse). Young PSV
Jong PSV is a Dutch football team based in Eindhoven. It is the reserve team of PSV Eindhoven and plays in the Eerste Divisie since the 2013–14 season. History Until 2013, Jong PSV played in the Beloften Eredivisie, a league exclusively for reserve teams. That year, the KNVB decided to expand the Eerste Divisie to 20 teams by adding two amateur teams and two reserve teams. Initially, Jong Ajax and Jong FC Twente were chosen, based on the team's interest and the Beloften Eredivisie league results. But after amateur team VV Katwijk rejected the offer, Jong PSV were offered the fourth and final league slot.
