VV Heerjansdam is a football club from Heerjansdam, Netherlands. Heerjansdam is playing in the Saturday Eerste Klasse League since 2017. Heerjansdam was the Dutch amateur champions of Saturday football in 1989. In 1986 Heerjansdam became champions in the Saturday Eerste Klasse A. Heerjansdam
Heerjansdam () is a village in the western Netherlands, in the municipality of Zwijndrecht, South Holland. It has a population of 3,590. History It was originally called "''Heren Heyenland''", a name which first appeared in a document from 1323. In 1331, Hendrik of Brederode started to build dikes around the Zwijndrechtse Waard. This project was financed by eight other persons, including Jan of Rosendaele, who subsequently were made landlords of the Waard. On November 25, 1368, Jan of Rosendaele renamed it to Heerjansdam (Dutch for "Lord John's dam"), after the dam on the Waaltje. The Vrouwen Eredivisie () (Dutch for ''Honor Division'', ''Eredivisie Vrouwen'' before 2020), also known as the Azerion Eredivisie Vrouwen due to a 3 year sponsor contract starting from the 2022–2023 season, is the highest women's football league in the Netherlands. Ron Timmers
Ron Timmers (born 11 August 1973) is a Dutch former footballer and current manager who is the head coach of IFC. He is a resident of Heer Oudelands Ambacht, Zwijndrecht. Football career Timmers played professionally in FC Dordrecht and Sparta Rotterdam. On 24 November 1985, in the 1985–86 KNVB Cup, he scored the first equalizer for FC Dordrecht, in a game that Dordrecht lost 3–2 to RBC Roosendaal. Since 2000 Timmers coached Sliedrecht, SVW, Rijsoord, Groote Lindt, Leonidas, VV Nieuwerkerk, and Zwaluwen (2010–2011). Hendrik Pieter de Jongh (born 8 December 1970) is a Dutch football manager who has coached several professional football clubs around the world including Budapest Honvéd, Kenyan Premier League side A.F.C. René Vermunt
René Vermunt (26 August 1952) is a Dutch retired professional footballer and football manager. From 1970 to 1983, he was an Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie goalkeeper for SBV Excelsior. He went on to become the manager of several football clubs in the Rotterdam region. Sports career Goalkeeper In 1979, Vermunt showed his behind during a game against FC Groningen after receiving a yellow card. His football career came to an end in April 1983, due to a knee injury from September 1982. 2019–20 Eerste Klasse
The 2019–20 Eerste Klasse season was a season of the Eerste Klasse. Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic On 12 March 2020, all football leagues were suspended until 31 March as the Dutch government forbade events due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands. On 15 March this period was extended until 6 April. Due to the decision of the Dutch government to forbid all gatherings and events until 1 June 2020, this period was even further extended. Eventually, on 31 March 2020, the KNVB decided not to resume competitions at the amateur level. They also decided, for those competitions involved, there would be no final standings, and therefore no champions, initially no promotions and no relegations.
