VVA-Podmoskovye Monino
The VVA-Podmoskovye is a Russian rugby union team playing in the Professional Rugby League. The team plays at Gagarin Air Force Academy stadium in Monino, a garrison town just outside Moscow. VVA-Podmoskovye have strong links to the air force and also supplied the bulk of Russia, with which they shared a head coach, Nikolai Nerush. The team had ambitious plans for the future - it lobbied hard for inclusion in the European Challenge Cup and was close to completing a 12,500-seat purpose-built rugby stadium. VVA-Podmoskovye have won the title eight times, in 1993, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Monino
Monino (russian: Мо́нино) is an urban locality (a work settlement) in Shchyolkovsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located east of Moscow. Population: History Monino was founded in the Muninskaya Wasteland (russian: Мунинская пустошь) on August 23, 1792. The name "Monino" or "Munin" can be translated from the Finno-Ugric languages as "My farm". It is alleged that the history of the settlement can be traced to a small farm, whose owner was a man of Monin. In 1926, an airfield for heavy aircraft was built, becoming the first to house a heavy bomber brigade. The subsequent history of the village is closely connected with aviation. Yenisey-STM Rugby Club is a Russian rugby union club founded in 1975. It is one of the two powerful Krasnoyarsk clubs, the other being their cross town rivals Krasny Yar. RC Kuban is a professional Russian rugby union team from Krasnodar. It was created in 1996, thanks to the initiative of businessman Anatoly Kiselev and Fedor Musatov. The first section was opened on the basis of a comprehensive school №82. Flanker is a position in the sport of rugby union. Krasny Yar Krasnoyarsk is a Russian rugby union club founded in 1969 in the city of Krasnoyarsk. They compete in the Professional Rugby League, the premier league in the country.
