VL15
The VL15 (Russian: ВЛ15) is a Soviet built electric mainline freight locomotive manufactured at the Tbilisi Electric Locomotive Works. The power supply was 3 kV Direct Current, and the axle arrangement Bo-Bo-Bo+Bo-Bo-Bo. All VL15 and VL15S locomotives currently in operation are assigned to the Volkhov Locomotive Depot, October Railway. 5 of 6 VL15A locomotives (VL15A-001 decommissioned) are in operation at the Apatit. Bo-Bo-Bo Locomotives
A Bo-Bo-Bo or Bo′Bo′Bo′ (UIC classification) is a locomotive with three independent two-axle bogies with all axles powered by separate traction motors. In the AAR wheel arrangement, AAR system, this is simplified to AAR wheel arrangement#B-B-B, B-B-B. The Bo-Bo-Bo configuration is often used to lower axle weight while keeping lateral forces low compared to a locomotive with two three-axle bogies, thus allowing the locomotive to use lightly laid track, in particular Narrow gauge railway, narrow-gauge railways. Bo-Bo-Bo locomotives The arrangement is extensively used on Italy, Italian and Japanese railways. Other examples include New Zealand's New Zealand DJ class locomotive, DJ, NZR EW class, EW and New Zealand EF class locomotive, EF classes; the Eurotunnel Class 9 locomotives, which were themselves derived from the New Zealand EF class; the Swiss Swiss Federal Railways, SBB Re 6/6 (Re 620); the Russia Railways VL65, EP1 (electric locomotive), EP1 (EP1M), EP10 and EP20 ...

Scherbinka
Shcherbinka (russian: Ще́рбинка) is a town, formerly in Moscow Oblast, Russia, and since July 1, 2012 a federal city subject (settlement) of Moscow, Russia. It is located south of the center of Moscow. Population: History It was founded in the late 14th century as a village of Shcherbinino () and granted town status in 1975. In 1984, the western part of Shcherbinka was transferred to Moscow and is currently a part of Yuzhnoye Butovo District. Administrative and municipal status Within the framework of administrative divisions, it was incorporated as Shcherbinka Town Under Oblast Jurisdiction—an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.Law #12/2001-OZ; revision prior to July 17, 2012 As a municipal division, Shcherbinka Town Under Oblast Jurisdiction was incorporated as Shcherbinka Urban Okrug.Law #54/2005-OZ On July 1, 2012, Shcherbinka was transferred to the federal city of Moscow and became a part of Novomoskovsky Adminis ...

5 Ft Gauge Locomotives
5 (five) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number, and cardinal number, following 4 and preceding 6, and is a prime number. It has attained significance throughout history in part because typical humans have five digits on each hand. In mathematics 5 is the third smallest prime number, and the second super-prime. It is the first safe prime, the first good prime, the first balanced prime, and the first of three known Wilson primes. Five is the second Fermat prime and the third Mersenne prime exponent, as well as the third Catalan number, and the third Sophie Germain prime. Notably, 5 is equal to the sum of the ''only'' consecutive primes, 2 + 3, and is the only number that is part of more than one pair of twin primes, ( 3, 5) and (5, 7). It is also a sexy prime with the fifth prime number and first prime repunit, 11. Five is the third factorial prime, an alternating factorial, and an Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part and real part of the form 3p ...

Railway Locomotives Introduced In 1984
Rail transport (also known as train transport) is a means of transport that transfers passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, which are incorporated in Track (rail transport), tracks. In contrast to road transport, where the vehicles run on a prepared flat surface, rail vehicles (rolling stock) are directionally guided by the tracks on which they run. Tracks usually consist of steel rails, installed on Railroad tie, sleepers (ties) set in track ballast, ballast, on which the rolling stock, usually fitted with metal wheels, moves. Other variations are also possible, such as "slab track", in which the rails are fastened to a concrete foundation resting on a prepared subsurface. Rolling stock in a rail transport system generally encounters lower friction, frictional resistance than rubber-tyred road vehicles, so passenger and freight cars (carriages and wagons) can be coupled into longer trains. The rail transport operations, operation is carried out by a ...

3000 V DC Locomotives
3 (three) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 2 and preceding 4, and is the smallest odd prime number and the only prime preceding a square number. It has religious or cultural significance in many societies. Evolution of the Arabic digit The use of three lines to denote the number 3 occurred in many writing systems, including some (like Roman and Chinese numerals) that are still in use. That was also the original representation of 3 in the Brahmic (Indian) numerical notation, its earliest forms aligned vertically. However, during the Gupta Empire the sign was modified by the addition of a curve on each line. The Nāgarī script rotated the lines clockwise, so they appeared horizontally, and ended each line with a short downward stroke on the right. In cursive script, the three strokes were eventually connected to form a glyph resembling a with an additional stroke at the bottom: ३. The Indian digits spread to the Caliphate in the 9th ...

Electric Locomotives Of The Soviet Union
Electricity is the set of physical phenomena associated with the presence and motion of matter that has a property of electric charge. Electricity is related to magnetism, both being part of the phenomenon of electromagnetism, as described by Maxwell's equations. Various common phenomena are related to electricity, including lightning, static electricity, electric heating, electric discharges and many others. The presence of an electric charge, which can be either positive or negative, produces an electric field. The movement of electric charges is an electric current and produces a magnetic field. When a charge is placed in a location with a non-zero electric field, a force will act on it. The magnitude of this force is given by Coulomb's law. If the charge moves, the electric field would be doing work on the electric charge. Thus we can speak of electric potential at a certain point in space, which is equal to the work done by an external agent in carrying a unit of positiv ...
