VK Primorje
VK Primorje Erste Bank ( hr, Vaterpolski klub Primorje Erste Bank, commonly referred to as VK Primorje EB) is a professional water polo club based in Rijeka, Croatia. As of 2021–22 season, the club competes in the Croatian League and Regional League A2. History The club was founded in 1908, as HŠK Victoria (Croatian Sports Club Victoria), and is the oldest swimming club in Croatia. Under that name, the club was active until World War II. After the war, the club was re-established in 1948 as Primorje. Since 1991 and the breakup of Yugoslavia the club has been competing in Croatian First League, as well as the regional Adriatic League and LEN Champions League. VK Primorje EB has won three national championships, the first in 1938 (as HŠK Victoria), and the second and third in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. The 2014–15 LEN Champions League was the 52nd edition of LEN's premier competition for men's water polo clubs. It ran from 26 September 2014 to 30 May 2015, and it is contested by 26 teams from 13 countries. 2011–12 LEN Champions League
The 2011–12 LEN Champions League is the 49th edition of the Europe men's premier water polo competition. This also would become the first season with the new name of the LEN Champions League with the former name being called the Euroleague which had been the name of the competition since 2003. 29 teams competed in the edition with three quarters of those playing in qualifying as they joined the eight teams in the group stage. From there, the top two teams of each group qualified to the knockout stage with the final four round being played in Oradea. In the final, Pro Recco from Italy took out their seventh title defeating Croatian club, VK Primorje 11–8. Third place was fellow Croatian club HAVK Mladost who defeated Vasas SC from Hungary in the bronze medal playoff. Saint Domnius (also known as Saint Dujam or Saint Duje, Saint Domnio, Saint Doimus, or Saint Domninus) was a Bishop of Salona (today's Solin) around the year 300, and is venerated as the patron of the nearby city of Split in modern Croatia.
