VIXX ( ko, 빅스 pronounced "vicks"; acronym for "voice, visual, value in excelsis") is a South Korean boy band formed by Jellyfish Entertainment through the 2012 reality show ''MyDOL''. Originally a sextet, the group is presently composed of five members: N, Leo, Ken, Ravi and Hyuk—former vocalist Hongbin left the group and the agency in August 2020. They are predominantly known as a concept or performance group whose music, lyrics, choreography, and overall stage performances are crafted together to tell a story or concept. VIXX LR
VIXX LR ( ko, 빅스 LR) is the first official sub-unit of South Korean boy band VIXX formed by Jellyfish Entertainment. Established in August 2015, VIXX LR consists of VIXX vocalist Leo and rapper Ravi. The duo debuted with their first mini album, ''Beautiful Liar'', on August 17, 2015. Name VIXX LR is a combination of VIXX ( ko, 빅스 pronounced "vicks"; acronym for voice, visual, value in excelsis) and the initials of the members stage names, "L" for Leo and "R" for Ravi. At their debut showcase, Leo further explained that the name also stands for "left" and "right", in reference to their contrasting qualities and images that create harmony when they perform together. Ravi gave an additional, more literal interpretation, saying it correlates to their positions while standing on stage from the audience's point of view. Ravi (rapper)
Kim Won-sik (; born February 15, 1993), better known by his stage name Ravi (), is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and founder of the record label Groovl1n and The L1VE. He is a member of the South Korean boy group VIXX and its sub-unit VIXX LR. He debuted as a solo artist on January 9, 2017, with the release of his debut mini album ''R.eal1ze''. Career 2012–2013: Debut and project solo activities Ravi was one of ten trainees who were contestants on Mnet's survival reality show ''MyDOL''. Jung Taek-woon (; born on November 10, 1990), better known by his stage name Leo (), is a South Korean singer, songwriter and musical theatre actor, signed under Jellyfish Entertainment. Leo debuted as a member of the South Korean boy group VIXX in May 2012, and began his acting career in 2014 in the musical ''Full House'' as Lee Young-jae. Hyuk debuted as a member of the South Korean boy group VIXX in May 2012, and began his acting career in 2016 in the comedy-action film '' Chasing'' as Han Won-tae. Lee Hong-bin (; born September 29, 1993), also known by the mononym Hongbin, is a South Korean singer, actor, entertainer and streamer formerly signed under Jellyfish Entertainment. KCON 2012
KCON is an annual convention held in locations across the world, created by Koreaboo and organized by CJ E&M. It was first held in Southern California in 2012 and has since expanded to ten countries as of 2022. In 2015, KCON expanded to Japan and then quickly announced the first KCON USA on the East Coast. In 2016, KCON expanded into Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and Paris, France. In January 2017, KCON announced that they would be hosting their first KCON Mexico at the Mexico City Arena on March 17 and 18, 2017. The song served as VIXX's debut single and single album. "Super Hero" was written and composed by Lee Ki Won aka Kiggen, the leader of hip-hop trio Phantom.
