Víctor Manuel García Valdés
Víctor Manuel García Valdés (October 31, 1897–February 1, 1969) was a Cubans, Cuban painter. He was an early member of the "Vanguardia" movement of artists who, beginning in the 1920s, combined European concepts of Modern art with native Primitivism to create a distinctly Cuban aesthetic. Life and career Born in Havana, at age six Victor Manuel already showed a precocious aptitude for drawing. At age 12 he enrolled in the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes "San Alejandro", the most prominent art school in Cuba, where he studied under the famous painter Leopoldo Romañach. Victor Garcia (Pedro Victor Garcia Patta)( Tucumán, Argentina; December 16, 1934 - Paris; August 28, 1982), was an Argentine award-winning theatre director. He directed a production of Jean Genet's ''The Balcony'' at the Ruth Escobar Theatre in São Paulo in 1969, which Genet saw in July 1970. The production was staged under the new regime of Brazil's military dictator General Garrastazu Médici; the actress who played Chantal, Nilda Maria, was arrested for anti-government activities and her children were sent to Public Welfare, prompting Genet to petition the wife of the city's governor for their release.White (1993, 621-622). Víctor García (Spanish Singer)
Víctor García (born 5 June 1970 in Brisbane, Australia) is the lead vocalist and songwriter for the heavy metal band WarCry. He is the central figure and sole original member of WarCry and a former Avalanch lead vocalist, being considered one of the best Spanish metal singers. García has often cited that his biggest and most important influences are Stryper, Manowar, and Virgin Steele. Biography Early days Víctor García discovered his passion for metal music around 1987, after listening to Europe's '' Final Countdown'', and some other bands like Bon Jovi. In 1992 he acquired his own guitar and created a band with some friends, named War-Cry. In 1994, Asturian power metal band Avalanch asked García to join them as rhythm guitarist. They recorded a demo and gave some concerts in various localities around Asturias.
