Václav Glazar (9 October 1952 – 11 July 2018) was a Czech film and theater actor, playwright, screenwriter and cabaretteer. Life He was born in Prague in 1952, and his first profession was dog breeding and postal delivery. In 1990, he began his career as a playwright and screenwriter. He first showed his first work, Čestmír Kopecky, on Česká televize and then participated in the entertainment programs TV Prima. Zdeněk Troška
Zdeněk Troška (born 18 May 1953) is a Czech film director and screenwriter. He mainly directs comedies and fairy-tale films. Personal life Troška is deeply connected with the South Bohemian Region. He was born in the hospital in Strakonice, but he grew up in Hoštice, where he still lives and where he filmed several of his films (mostly notably the ''Slunce, seno...'' trilogy). He studied directing at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and also at Lycée Carnot in Dijon, France. Work Troška ranks among contradictory and sometimes controversial directors. Although he is educated and receives offers to direct classical operas and film dramas like '' Andělská tvář'' (2002), he is most famous for cheap comedies and fairy tales intended for an undemanding audience. ''Year of the Devil'' ( cs, Rok ďábla) is a 2002 Czech mockumentary film directed by Petr Zelenka. It stars musicians who act as themselves: Czech folk music band Čechomor, musicians and poets Jaromír Nohavica, Karel Plihal and British musician and composer Jaz Coleman. The soundtrack also includes two pieces by the Killing Joke: ''Frenzy'' and ''Exorcism''. Jaroslav Čejka
Jaroslav Čejka (22 July 1936 – 11 October 2022) was a Czech dancer, mime artist, mime, comedian and actor. Life and career Born in Ostrava, Čejka began his career as a dancer at 17 years old, and starting from the 1960s he was a member of the National Theatre Ballet (Prague), National Theatre Ballet. He later became popular thanks to television, performing as a mime in comical sketches; his best known performance was the imitation of the hen, that he performed for the first time in a 1977 New Year's Eve TV special. He was also active as a comedy film actor, starring in about two dozen films. In 2007 Čejka received a Thalia Award for his career. In his later years he lived in a retirement home. Affected by Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, he died on 11 October 2022, at the age of 86. Prima televize (previously Prima family, originally Premiéra) is a Czech private television station. Its channel is broadcast from Prague. Its current owner is FTV Prima, spol. s. r. o., which is majority-owned by Czech investment firm GES, in turn owned by Czech oligarch Ivan Zach. The group's current general manager is Marek Singer.
