Vydubychi Bus Station
Vydubychi (also Vydobychi, Vudobych, Vydobech) () is a historical neighborhood in Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Geographically constituting a hill and a valley on the Right (western) Bank of the Dnipro River, it is now a part of the Pechersk district of the city. The lower part of Vydubychi has evolved in a giant intermodal transport hub comprising the Kyiv Metro Vydubychi metro station, two railway stops Vydubychi railway station serving east bound trains, the Kyiv Urban Electric Train and the Kyiv Boryspil Express, and Vydubychi-Trypilski serving south bound trains, the Vydubychi bus terminal, two multi-level grade-separated interchanges: motorway interchange and railway interchange. Kyiv Boryspil Express
The Kyiv Boryspil Express is an airport rail link in Ukraine between Boryspil International Airport and Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi, Kyiv, opened in November 2018. It is operated by Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's State ownership, state-owned rail operator. History Initially, the project was implemented by the State Agency for Investment and Management of National Projects of Ukraine. Financing was provided by Exim Bank of China, Eximbank of China. PricewaterhouseCoopers has developed a business plan for the implementation of the national Air Express project. In 2017, the project was stalled after a string of scandals. On 16 February 2018, the Government of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated funds for the implementation of the project and the works commenced in May. Vydubychi Monastery
Vydubychi Monastery ( ua, Видубицький монастир ''Vydubyts'kyi monastyr'') is an historic monastery in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. During the Soviet period it housed the NANU Institute of Archaeology. History The monastery was established between 1070 and 1077 by Vsevolod, son of Yaroslav the Wise. It was a family cloister of Vsevolod's son Vladimir Monomakh and his descendants. The monastery, and the neighbourhood in present-day Kyiv where it is located, was named after an old Slavic legend about the pagan god Perun and the Grand Prince Vladimir the Great of Kyiv. The word "Vydubychi" comes from the word ''Vydobychi'' → ''Vydobych'' → ''Vydobech'' ( ua, Видобичі → Видобич → Видобеч) which means "to swim up", "emerge from water". New Darnytskyi Bridge
The New Darnytskyi Bridge () is a combined road and railroad bridge in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It spans across the Dnieper River connecting the left and right banks of the city, the Darnytsia and Holosiiv districts of Kyiv, respectively. The bridge carries a double track rail line and is built to accommodate six lanes of road traffic. The bridge was completed in July 2023, but operated in reduced capacity for months before, lacking road connection ramps from ''some'' directions. Additional railroad links to match the new bridges' capacity are also being constructed. Pivdennyi Bridge (Kyiv)
The Pivdennyi Bridge ( uk, Південний міст - Southern bridge) in Kyiv, Ukraine was designed by the architect A. Gavrilov ("Mostobud") and a group of engineers headed by G. Fux, was built in 1990. Overview It is the second metro bridge in Kyiv, serving both the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line and road traffic. The cables holding the spans on the bridge are supported by a ferroconcrete double-column pylon in height. The bridge currently has three traffic lanes in both directions (total of six). It connects the Smaller Ring Road around the center of Kyiv. The bridge is part of the / and is formally an extension of the local Promyslova Street. About 1.5 miles north from it is building a new bridge. In 2010 a railway traffic portion of that bridge was finished, while the automobile traffic was scheduled to be established sometime in 2011. Kyiv, historically situated on the right bank of the Dnieper River, now covers both banks of the river whose width, as it flows through the city, reaches several hundred metres. Additionally, several tributaries join the Dnieper inside or just north or south of the historic city. Kyiv Urban Electric Train
The Kyiv Urban Electric Train ( uk, Київська міська електричка, translit=Kyivska miska elektrychka) is an urban rail transit passenger service in Kyiv, Ukraine. The service is operated by Ukrainian Railways and Kyivpastrans. The project uses a long-existing railroad ring in the city for peak hour circulation of electric multiple unit trains. Working 2 since September 2009 Kyiv Urban Electric Train is the first instance of a combined municipal railway service and an intracity passenger rail route in Ukraine, and arguably in the former Soviet Union as a whole. The ring was fully completed on 4 October 2011, the full length of lines is 50.8 km with 15 stations. Opening hours are from 5:48 until 21:37 with a time between trains of between 10 and 30 minutes. 12 trains operate on the line; the fastest time to complete a loop is 1 hour and 25 minutes. Vydubychi ( uk, Видубичі) is a railway stop in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is part of the Kyiv Directorate of the Southwestern Railways. The station forms a transportation hub with the Vydubychi-Trypilski railway station which serves southbound trains, the Vydubychi metro station of the Kyiv Metro's Syretsko-Pecherska Line and the Vydubychi bus station serving long distance buses.
