Giants In The Trees
Giants in the Trees is an American rock band formed in Wahkiakum County, Washington, in 2017. The band was formed by former Nirvana bassist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Krist Novoselic, who created the band as a local musical project. Novoselic, Jillian Raye, Erik Friend, and Ray Prestegard are the current band members of Giants in the Trees. Often, Jennifer Johnson joins on vocals. History The band started by writing two songs in the first two days of playing together; "Sasquatch" and "Center of the Earth". Wahkiakum County, Washington
Wahkiakum County () is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. As of the 2020 census, the population was 4,422, making it the third-least populous county in Washington. The county seat and only incorporated town is Cathlamet. The county was formed out of Cowlitz County in April 1854 and is named for Chief Wahkiakum ("Tall Timber") of the Chinook, who is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Cathlamet. Jack Endino
Jack Endino (born Michael M. Giacondino; 1964) is an American producer and musician based in Seattle, Washington. Long associated with Seattle label Sub Pop and the grunge movement, Endino worked on seminal albums from bands including Mudhoney, Soundgarden and Nirvana. He was also the guitarist for Seattle band Skin Yard, which was active between 1985 and 1992. Endino currently manages a studio in Seattle called Soundhouse Recording. Emma Ruth Rundle (born October 10, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and visual artist based in Portland, Oregon. Formerly of the Nocturnes and Marriages, she has released five solo albums and is a member of Red Sparowes. Early life and career Rundle was born in Santa Monica, California and moved “back and forth between the Westside and Eastside” when she was growing up before attending Eagle Rock High School. She was raised in Los Angeles with her younger sister in a household where a lot of folk music was played. As a teenager, Rundle lived with her grandmother until the end of her life. After a massive earthquake in her hometown, her mother took her into the legendary folk music store McCabe's and told her she could pick one instrument to rent for lessons. She initially chose the Celtic harp before switching to guitar, and later went on to work at McCabe's for 13 years.
