Alexandre Volkoff (Russian Александр Александрович Волков, transliteration Aleksandr Aleksandrovič Volkov, 1885–1942) was a Russian actor, screenwriter, and film director. Aleksandr Volkov established his film career in Russia, and was one of a significant number of film artists who fled Russia following the Bolshevik takeover.Phillips p.39 The bulk of his output was in France where he was known as Alexandre Volkoff. George Volkoff
George Michael Volkoff, (February 23, 1914 – April 24, 2000) was a Russian-Canadian physicist and academic who helped, with J. Robert Oppenheimer, predict the existence of neutron stars before they were discovered. Early life He was born in Moscow. His father was a Russian engineer who emigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1924. Unable to find work, his father moved the family to Harbin, Manchuria in 1927. His mother died soon after moving to Harbin. In 1936, Volkoff's father returned to Russia but was exiled to the arctic camps as part of the Great Purge where he would die. Education Volkoff returned to Vancouver and entered the University of British Columbia where he received a Bachelor of Arts in physics in 1934 and a Master of Arts degree in 1936. He then studied with J. Robert Oppenheimer at the University of California, Berkeley where he published his paper "On Massive Neutron Cores" and earned his Ph.D. in 1940. Pierre Lafleur (born February 13, 1939) is a former French Canadian professional wrestler who is best known for his appearances with the World Wide Wrestling Federation under the ring name Lumberjack Pierre where he was the half of The Yukon Lumberjacks. Professional Wreslting Career Early Career (1966-1975) Lafluer joined Dick the Bruiser's WWA in 1966 where he wrestled as a Russian Igor Volkoff. He left the territory in 1969. In 1972 he worked for International Wrestling Enterprise in Japan as Buffalo Zarnoff. Also he worked in Portland, Vancouver, Montreal and Minnesota. Nikolai Volkoff
Josip Hrvoje Peruzović (October 14, 1947 – July 29, 2018), better known by his ring name Nikolai Volkoff, was a Yugoslav-American professional wrestler best known for his time in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Although Volkoff often portrayed a villainous Russian, he was actually a Croatian from Yugoslavia. In the 1970s, he was Bepo of the Mongols tag team, one of the masked Executioners and feuded with Bruno Sammartino over the WWWF World Heavyweight Championship as Volkoff. Vladimir Volkoff (7 November 1932 – 14 September 2005) was a French writer of Russian extraction. He produced both literary works for adults and spy novels for young readers under the pseudonym Lieutenant X. Alexei Volkoff () is the Pseudonym, alias and alter ego of Hartley Winterbottom (codename Agent X), a fictional character on the television series ''Chuck (TV series), Chuck''. Volkoff is the head of Volkoff Industries. For the first six episodes of the Chuck (season 4), fourth season, he was an unseen character, directing his operatives from behind the scenes. He first appeared in the seventh episode, "Chuck Versus the First Fight". For the first twenty-one episodes of the season, Volkoff is presented as the character's actual identity.
