Volero Zürich
Volero Zürich is a Switzerland, Swiss volleyball club based in Zürich. It has many teams (men's, women's and youth volleyball) with the women's team being the most successful and currently playing in the Swiss women's volleyball league, National League A. Since the mid 2000s, the club has also frequently participated in European competitions, most notably the CEV Women's Champions League. In 2018 the elite women's team joined Entente sportive Le Cannet-Rocheville, forming Volero Le Cannet, a team located in Le Cannet, France (Volero Zürich kept an elite team, but it restarted in a lower league). The European Volleyball Confederation (french: Confédération Européenne de Volleyball or ''CEV'') is the continental sports governing body, governing body for the sports of volleyball, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, and snow volleyball in Europe. Josefa Fabíola Almeida de Souza Alves (born 3 February 1983 in Brasília) is a Brazilian professional volleyball player who won the bronze medal at the 2014 World Championship playing with the Brazil national team. Career De Souza claimed the silver medal in the 2014 FIVB Club World Championship, playing with Molico Osasco, when her team lost 0-3 to the Russian Dinamo Kazan the championship match. The Swiss Men's Volleyball Ligue 1 is a men's volleyball competition organized by the Swiss Volleyball Federation (Swiss Volley), it was created in 1957. History In the 2020/21 championship, 8 teams played in the League A: Lindaren ( Amriswil ), Chenois Geneva ( Geneva ), Schönenwerd, Lausanne, Nefels, Yona, Basel, Lindaren ( Lucerne ). Champion title was won by "Chenoit Geneva", who won in the final series beating up "Lindaren" (Amriswil) 3-1 (3: 2, 0: 3, 3: 1, 3: 0). 3rd place was taken by "Schönenwerd". Women's Top Volley International
The Women's Top Volley International is an international women's volleyball club cup competition played annually in Basel, Switzerland ). Swiss law does not designate a ''capital'' as such, but the federal parliament and government are installed in Bern, while other federal institutions, such as the federal courts, are in other cities (Bellinzona, Lausanne, Luzern, Neuchâtel .... Format In 2006, the competition was contested by six clubs. In the first round, the clubs were divided in two groups of three clubs each. The club's played against the other teams of their respective groups once. The two best placed teams of each group advanced to the semifinals. The clubs eliminated in the first round disputed the fifth place playoff. The clubs defeated in the semifinals disputed the third place playoff. The semifinal winners disputed the final.
