Vladislav Nevednichy
Vladislav Nevednichy (born September 3, 1969) is a Romanian people, Romanian chess Grandmaster (chess), Grandmaster (1993) and Romanian Chess Championship, Romanian champion in 2008 and 2012. He took part in the FIDE World Chess Championship 2000, but was knocked out in the second round by Jeroen Piket. In 2007 he participated in the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia where he was eliminated in the 2nd round. He played for Moldova in the 30th Chess Olympiad in Manila 1992 and for Romania in the Chess Olympiads of 1994, 1996, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2012, and 2014. He tied for first with Kaido Külaots at Paks 2003 and tied for first with Constantin Lupulescu at Timișoara, Timişoara 2006. He won the Romanian Individual National Championship in 2008 and 2012. In the May 2011 FIDE list, he has an Elo rating of 2542, making him Romania's number eight. Grandmaster (chess)
Grandmaster (GM) is a title awarded to chess players by the world chess organization FIDE. Apart from World Champion, Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain. Once achieved, the title is held for life, though exceptionally it has been revoked for cheating. The title of Grandmaster, along with the lesser FIDE titles of International Master (IM) and FIDE Master (FM), is open to all players regardless of gender. The great majority of grandmasters are men, but 40 women have been awarded the GM title as of 2022, out of a total of about 2000 grandmasters. Since about the year 2000, most of the top 10 women have held the GM title. There is also a Woman Grandmaster title with lower requirements awarded only to women. Elo Rating
The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in zero-sum games such as chess. It is named after its creator Arpad Elo, a Hungarian-American physics professor. The Elo system was invented as an improved chess-rating system over the previously used Harkness system, but is also used as a rating system in association football, American football, baseball, basketball, pool, table tennis, and various board games and esports. The difference in the ratings between two players serves as a predictor of the outcome of a match. Two players with equal ratings who play against each other are expected to score an equal number of wins. A player whose rating is 100 points greater than their opponent's is expected to score 64%; if the difference is 200 points, then the expected score for the stronger player is 76%. Constantin Lupulescu (born 25 March 1984) is a Romanian chess grandmaster and a five-time Romanian Chess Champion. He has competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2019, 2021. Paks
Paks is a small town in Tolna county, in the south of Hungary, on the right bank of the Danube River, 100 km south of Budapest. Paks as a former agricultural settlement is now the home of the only Hungarian nuclear power plant, which provides about 40% of the country's electricity consumption.
