Višegrad
Višegrad ( sr-cyrl, Вишеград, ) is a town and municipality located in eastern Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It rests at the confluence of the Drina and the Rzav river. As of 2013, it has a population of 10,668 inhabitants, while the town of Višegrad has a population of 5,869 inhabitants. The town includes the Ottoman-era Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, a UNESCO world heritage site which was popularized by Ivo Andrić in his novel ''The Bridge on the Drina''. A tourist site called ''Andrićgrad (Andrić Town)'', dedicated to Andrić, is located near the bridge. Etymology Višegrad is a South Slavic toponym meaning "the upper town/castle/fort". Višegrad (Bistrički)
Višegrad ( sr-cyr, Вишеград, sq, Vishegrad) or ''Prizrenac'' (), is a fortress located 2 kilometre, km southeast of Prizren in the Prizren Bistrica, Bistrica gorge, which the Emperor Stefan Dušan, Dušan (king 1331–1346, emperor 1346–1355) expanded to the river itself and in that part from 1348 to 1352, he raised his endowment to the monastery of the Holy Archangels. Nišava
The Nišava or Nishava (Bulgarian and sr-Cyrl, Нишава, ) is a river in Bulgaria and Serbia, a right tributary, and with a length of also the longest one, of the South Morava. Course Bulgaria The Nišava originates in western Bulgaria, in the Stara Planina mountains (east of Kom Peak) near the village of Gintsi. Its source is close to the Serbian border. It enters Serbia after of flow through Bulgaria without receiving any major tributaries. Because it flows through Gintsi, the upper course of the river is known as Ginska (Cyrillic: Гинска). It first flows to the south, then sharply turns west into the Godech Kettle, passing through Razboishte, after which it forms a gorge. Coming out of the gorge, it reaches Kalotina, a major border crossing on the Bulgarian-Serbian border (Kalotina-Gradina), and continues to the west into Serbia.
