Vio (flavoured Milk)
Vio is a Flavored milk, flavoured milk sold in India by Coca-Cola India. There are two variants - VIO Almond Delight and VIO Kesar Treat. The milk is sourced from dairy farmers and blended with flavours. VIO flavoured milk contains toned milk, milk solids, sugar, blended with saffron, pistachio, and almond flavours in the respective ‘Kesar Treat’ and ‘Almond Delight’ variants. Each pack contains 6.4 g of protein. It has no added preservatives. It is available in 200 ml Aseptic Tetra packaging. Flavored Milk
Flavored milk is a sweetened dairy drink made with milk, sugar, flavorings, and sometimes food colorings. It may be sold as a pasteurized, refrigerated product, or as an ultra-high-temperature (UHT) treated product not requiring refrigeration. Toned Milk
Toned milk is a method, developed in India, of treating buffalo milk by adding skim milk, powdered skim milk and water to buffalo milk. This process decreases the fat content, increases the quantity of available milk, and 'tones up' the non-fat solids level to the original amount. The cost of milk is reduced, making it more widely available and not a luxury purchase. Toned milk is often used in areas where milk production is extremely low or demand is very high compared to the available capacity. In these cases, untreated milk tends to be high in fat, and mechanical removal of the milk-fat would be cost-prohibitive. Buffalo milk has a fat content of about 7-8%, and contains calcium and a non-fat solids content of 9-10%. By reducing the fat content to 3% through the toning process, the available milk quantity is nearly tripled. Saffron
Saffron () is a spice derived from the flower of ''Crocus sativus'', commonly known as the "saffron crocus". Pistachio
The pistachio (, ''Pistacia vera''), a member of the cashew family, is a small tree originating from Central Asia and the Middle East. The tree produces seeds that are widely consumed as food. ''Pistacia vera'' is often confused with other species in the genus '' Pistacia'' that are also known as pistachio. Almond
The almond (''Prunus amygdalus'', syn. ''Prunus dulcis'') is a species of tree native to Iran and surrounding countries, including the Levant. The almond is also the name of the edible and widely cultivated seed of this tree. Vio (drink)
Vio is a beverage produced by The Coca-Cola Company consisting of milk with flavored carbonated water. The flavors are Citrus Burst, Peach Mango, Very Berry, and Tropical Colada. The drink was tested on the American market in 2009 but failed to find broad appeal although as of 2010 it was still produced in limited quantities. In 2016, Coca-Cola India launched a non-carbonated flavored milk product also named Vio. The Coca-Cola Company sells a similar product in Japan called Qoo.
