Vinogradov or Vinogradoff (russian: Виногра́дов) is a common Russian last name derived from the Russian word виноград (''vinograd'', meaning "grape" and виноградник ''vinogradnik'', meaning "vineyard"). Nikolai Vinogradov
Nikolai Ignatevich Vinogradov () ( – 27 April 1979) was an officer of the Soviet Navy who rose to the rank of admiral. Born in 1905, Vinogradov joined the navy in 1925 and graduated from various naval courses to serve in staff and seagoing positions. Specialising in submarine warfare, he commanded several submarines, before taking command of a submarine brigade during the Soviet-Finnish War. By the German invasion of Russia in 1941, Vinogradov was in command of the submarine forces of the Northern Fleet. Soviet submarines scored a number of success during the war, reflecting on Vinogradov's organisational skills, and various staff appointments and promotions followed. Yelena Vinogradova (russian: Елена Виноградова, born 28 March 1964) is a female track and field athlete who represented the Soviet Union. She specialized in the 200 metres and often ran relay races, winning the silver medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay and placing eighth in the 200 m at the 1991 World Championships. Vladimir Viktorovich Vinogradov (Russian Владимир Викторович Виноградов) (19 September 1955 in Ufa — 29 June 2008 in Moscow) was the owner and president of Inkombank, one of the largest banks in 90s' Russia. Considered one of Russia's oligarchs, he was ranked 12th in the list of the top 20 richest Russians in 1996. His bank underwent bankruptcy following the 1998 Russian financial crisis. Viktor Vladimirovich Vinogradov (russian: Ви́ктор Влади́мирович Виногра́дов; – 4 October 1969) was a Soviet linguist and philologist who presided over Soviet linguistics after World War II. Sergei Aleksandrovich Vinogradov (April 16, 1958 – December 16, 2010) was a Russian journalist, translator and writer. He worked for the UN from 1986 until his death. Sergei Vinogradov was born in Kurgan, Kurgan Oblast, Russian SFSR in 1958. In 1960, however, he moved to Moscow with his family as his father was promoted to a new position there. He attended school from 1965 to 1975 and was involved in school bands during his senior years (playing the guitar). From 1975 to 1980, Sergey Vinogradov studied international journalism at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Upon graduation, he received a job at the International Life (Mezhdunarodnaya Zhizn) magazine. Pavel Vladimirovich Vinogradov (russian: Павел Владимирович Виноградов; born 31 August 1953 in Magadan, USSR) is a cosmonaut and former commander of the International Space Station. As of January 2023, he has flown into space three times, aboard Mir and the International Space Station, and was one of the top 10 astronauts in terms of total time in space after his third spaceflight.
