Villingsberg's shooting range ( sv, Villingsbergs skjutfält) is a military training field outside Villingsberg in Sweden, between Örebro in Karlskoga and Nora in Kilsbergen, on the border between Närke and Värmland. The range extends north-east and is located in close proximity to Bofors Test Center. Villingsberg
Villingsberg () is a former locality situated in Karlskoga Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden with 52 inhabitants in 2000. It is located east of Karlskoga, by the European route E18. It is associated with the military training field Villingsberg's shooting range, which is located north of the proper village. The locality was removed from the list of Swedish localities in 2005 as the settlement's population had declined below 50 inhabitants, which is the minimum number of inhabitants to get recognized as a smaller urban settlement (Swedish: ''tätort'') by the Swedish Authorities. Karlskoga
Karlskoga () is a locality and the seat of Karlskoga Municipality, Sweden. Located within Örebro County, 45 km (28 mi) west of Örebro, and 10 km (6 mi) north of Degerfors. With a 2020 population of 27,386 distributed over 10.55 square miles (27.33 km2), Karlskoga is the second-largest city in both Örebro County and the historical province of Värmland. Nora, Sweden
Nora is a locality and the seat of Nora Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden with 6,526 inhabitants in 2010. History Nora received its charter in 1643. The government had requested the inhabitants of both Nora and the adjacent town Lindesberg to move together into a newly chartered city called Järle. However, the government proved unsuccessful, and instead granted both Nora and Lindesberg independent charters at that year. Kilsbergen
Kilsbergen is a low mountainous ridge that separates Närke from Värmland. It is the southernmost extension of the taiga in Scandinavia and shows a flora and fauna that are unusual for the latitude. There are several skiing and hiking facilities in Kilsbergen. Kilsbergen is especially known for its elk population. It was awarded the 1998 Elk Protection medal by Hans Hoffberg in 1993 and these magnificent beasts continue to thrive in the area. The 2019 IPSC Rifle World Shoot II was held in Karlskoga, Sweden between 3 and 10 August. The match consisted of 30 stages over six days, and over 650 competitors Jarkko Laukia from Finland took gold in the Open division, which was the largest division of the match. History Originally, the 2018 IPSC European Rifle Championship was to be held in Karlskoga in the summer of 2018, but had to be postponed to 2019 due to the 2018 Sweden wildfires. After an application to the international association for practical shooting, the Match Category was upgraded to a World Championship, making the match one of the largest shooting competitions ever held in Sweden.
