Vitus (), whose name is sometimes rendered Guy or Guido, was a Christian martyr from Sicily. His surviving hagiography is pure legend. Vid Belec (; born 6 June 1990) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Cypriot First Division club APOEL and the Slovenia national team. Club career Internazionale Signed by Internazionale along with Rene Krhin at the age of 16, Belec spent three-and-a-half seasons with Inter Primavera team. In the first season he was a backup for Paolo Tornaghi and won the Primavera Scudetto that season. He also played for Campionato Nazionale Allievi under-17 youth team in the 2006–07 season. In the 2007–08 season, at first he had to compete with Enrico Alfonso for the starting place in Primavera team until Alfonso left the club in January 2008. Vid Morpurgo (1838–1911) was a Dalmatian industrialist, publisher, politician and member of a notable Split family Morpurgo. Early years and family Morpurgo was born on 7 May 1838 in Split, Croatia to a well-known Jewish family of David-Elija and Anetta (née Gentili) Morpurgo. His great-great-grandfather David-Vita moved to Split in 1774 from Maribor ( Ger.: Marburg), Slovenia. He chose his surname ''Morpurgo'' from the Italian version of the German ''Marburger'' (i.e. someone from Marburg). From 1846 to 1849 Morpurgo attended and finished elementary school in Split. Vid Pečjak (7 January 1929 – 27 February 2016) was a Slovene author and psychologist. Pečjak was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He has written 90 books, two thirds from the field of psychology. Vid Vuletić Vukasović ( sr-Cyrl, Вид Вулетић Вукасовић; 16 December 1853 - 10 July 1933) was a writer and early ethnographer from Dubrovnik. He was part of the Serb-Catholic movement in Dubrovnik. Biography Born in 1853 in Brsečine near Dubrovnik, Vukasović came from a renowned family from Gradac, a small village near Neum in Herzegovina, where his relatives, at the time of the Herzegovina Uprising, fought against the Ottoman Empire. He was baptized in the Roman Catholic Church. Vukasović was a teacher by training, and worked as a teacher in Korčula, then as a professor in the Dubrovnik women's teacher school, and retired as a consultant in the latter institution. Peter Vitus Freiherr von Quosdanovich ( Croatian: Petar Vid Gvozdanović; 12 June 1738 – 13 August 1802) was a nobleman and general of the Habsburg monarchy of Croatian descent.
