Victória Borges
Victória Borges (born 13 July 2002) is a Brazilian rhythmic gymnast. She represents her country in international competitions. Career She took up the sport in Sergipe state in Brazil, in 2017 she was called up for the national team. At the start of the 2019 season she was integrated into the starters of the national group, competing at the World Cup in Guadalajara where Brazil was 7th in the All-Around, 8th with 5 balls and 7th with 2 hoops & 3 clubs. After attending a training in Portugal post quarantine, in 2021 she competed at the World Cups in Baku and Tashkent. In 2022 she won team, All-Around, 5 hoops, 3 ribbons & 2 balls’ gold at the South American Championships. The following year she competed at the World Cup in Athens where the group won an historical bronze in the All-Around, and at the South American Championships South is one of the cardinal directions or compass points. Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated. Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which first recognized it as a sport in 1963. It became an Olympic sport in 1984, with an individual all-around event. The group all-around competition was added to the Olympics in 1996. At the international level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport.
