Vicky The Viking (film)
''Vicky the Viking'' is a 2009 German adventure comedy film directed by Michael Herbig, based on Runer Jonsson's Vicke Viking children's book series and its subsequent animated series adaptation '' Wickie und die starken Männer''. Produced by Christian Becker of Rat Pack Filmproduktion it premiered in Munich on 9 September 2009. On 3 October 2009, during a show of '' Wetten, dass..?'', Herbig was presented with the Goldene Leinwand for the film's viewership of three million within its first 18 weeks. It sold nearly 5 million tickets in Germany alone, for a total gross revenue of nearly $57 million. Christian Ditter (born 1977) is a German director, producer and screenwriter who has worked on films, television and commercials. He is best known for his films ', (2009) ''Love, Rosie'' (2014), and ''How to Be Single'' (2016) and the Netflix series ''Girlboss'' (2017). Early life Ditter was born on March 9, 1977, in Giessen, Hesse. He graduated from the Evangelisch Stiftisches Gymnasium Gütersloh in 1996 and went to the University of Lüneburg from 1997 to 1998, majoring in Applied Cultural Studies. Christoph Maria Herbst (born 9 February 1966) is a German actor and comedian. Early life Herbst was born in Wuppertal. After passing the Abitur, he became a trainee banker and was active at the free theatre scene in Wuppertal at the same time. Career Theatre In 1986, Herbst was a founding member of the private ''Theater in Cronenberg'' and its acting school. He's still performing in German theatres. Most recently, he performed "Männerhort" (''Men nursery'') at the ''Theater am Kurfürstendamm'' in Berlin together with Bastian Pastewka, Michael Kessler and Jürgen Tonkel. Günther Kaufmann
Günther Kaufmann (16 June 1947 – 10 May 2012) was a German film actor best known for his association with director Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Fassbinder directed Kaufmann in a total of 14 films, casting him in leading and minor roles. Kaufmann was also romantically involved with the director for a time. In 2002, Kaufmann was accused of murder in relation to the 2001 death of Hartmut Hagen, a 60-year-old accountant whom Kaufmann's wife had defrauded. The death was ruled accidental, but Kaufmann was sentenced to prison for lesser crimes relating to the incident. In 2005, a new police investigation discovered that Kaufmann was innocent, and had confessed to the crimes to cover up for his late wife, who may have been the perpetrator.
