Veroljub Kosovac
Veroljub Kosovac (born 5 January 1956) is a Serbian handball coach and former player who played as a goalkeeper. Playing career Kosovac started his career at Belgrade-based Crvena zvezda. In 1984 he moved to Spanish club FC Barcelona, helping them win the Cup Winners' Cup in 1984–85 and 1985–86. He moved to Swedish second-tier club IFK Kristianstad in 1986 and helped them reach promotion to the top division in 1989–90 and 1991–92. He became player-coach for the club in 1991, remaining in that position until 1994. Coaching career Upon leaving Kristianstad in 1994, Kosovac became coach for Swedish club IFK Trelleborg. He stayed there until 1997 when he moved to Swedish top-flight club IFK Ystad, which he coached for a single season. In 1999 he joined H43 Lund, helping them achieve promotion to the top division in 1999–2000. He left H43 for Spanish club BM Aragón in 2005. He coached the team to the EHF Cup final in 2006–07. Vrnjačka Banja ( sr-cyr, Врњачка Бања) is a town and municipality located in the Raška District of central Serbia. 2015 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. The Qatari bid was selected over those of Norway, Poland and France after a vote by the IHF Council on 27 January 2011, in Malmö, Sweden. This was the third time that the World Championship was hosted in the Middle East And North Africa, after Egypt in 1999 and Tunisia in 2005. France won the final against Qatar 25–22 to win their fifth title, a first in handball history while Qatar won their first ever medal. Poland captured the bronze medal by defeating Spain 29–28 after extra time. Denmark secured the fifth place by winning against Croatia which finished sixth and thus had the worst result in the past 13 years of international handball competing. The EHF European League is an annual men's handball club competition organised by the European Handball Federation (EHF) since 1981. It is the second-tier competition of European club handball, ranking only below the EHF Champions League. Handbollsligan ''(literally, "The Handball league")'' is the highest league in the league system of Swedish handball, and comprises the top 14 Swedish handball teams. The first season began in 1931–32. The season ends with a playoff. Structure The season starts in September with a regular season comprising 14 teams meeting each other twice. A total of 26 rounds. The eight best teams after the regular season qualifies for the play-off. The 14th team is relegated, and the 11th, 12th and 13th team plays matches against the second, third and fourth from Allsvenskan to qualify for next season's Handbollsligan. The season ends with the finals in the beginning of May and the winning team qualifies directly to EHF European League and the losing team qualifies for the EHF European Cup.
