''Venice'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Anderson .Paak. It was released on October 28, 2014, by Steel Wool, OBE and Empire Distribution. Anderson .Paak produced the album, alongside several other record producers such as Lo_Def, DJ Nobody, DK the Punisher, Mikos the Gawd, Kelsey Gonzalez, Tokimonsta, Ta-Ku; as well as it features guest appearance from SiR. The album was supported by two singles: "Drugs" and "Miss Right". The album also features lead guitar work by Jose Rios, acoustic & bass guitar from Kelsey Gonzalez and keyboard from Ron Avant, all members of his backing band, The Free Nationals. Miklos Sandor Dora III (August 11, 1934 – January 3, 2002), known professionally as Miki Dora was a noted surfer of the 1950s and 1960s in Malibu, California. Dora received numerous nicknames and aliases during his life, including "Mickey Dora," "The Black Knight," "the Gypsy darling ," "Malibu Mickey," "Kung'Bu," "the Fiasco Kid," "El Taquache," and "Da Cat." Free Nationals are an American contemporary R&B, R&B band formed in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. The group consists of Jose Rios (lead guitar, backing vocals), Ron "T.Nava" Avant (keyboard, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Kelsey Gonzales (bass guitar, bass synth) and Callum Connor (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Regan Mathews, better known by his stage name Ta-ku, is an Australian musician, producer and photographer. Life and career Mathews was born and raised in the Australian city of Perth. He is half-Filipino, half-Māori. Mathews attended high school at John Curtin High School. Before he decided to focus on music, Mathews held a sales job at Medibank for five years. Mathews' stage name "Ta-ku" is a nod to his Māori heritage.
