''Venga a prendere il caffè da noi'', internationally released as ''Come Have Coffee with Us'', is a 1970 Italian comedy film directed by Alberto Lattuada. It is based on the novel ''La spartizione'' by Piero Chiara. The film was awarded with two Nastro d'Argento awards, for best screenplay and for best supporting actress (Francesca Romana Coluzzi). Alberto Lattuada
Alberto Lattuada (; 13 November 1914 – 3 July 2005) was an Italian film director. Career Lattuada was born in Vaprio d'Adda, the son of composer Felice Lattuada. He was initially interested in literature, becoming, while still a student, a member of the editorial staff of the antifascist fortnightly ''Camminare...'' (1932) and part of the artists' group ''Corrente di Vita'' (1938). Before entering the film industry, Lattuada's father made him complete his studies as an architect even though he recognized his desire to make movies. He began his film career as a screenwriter and assistant director on Mario Soldati's '' Piccolo mondo antico'' ("Old-Fashioned World", 1940). The first film he directed was ''Giacomo l'idealista'' (1943). '' Luci del Varietà'' (1950), co-directed with Federico Fellini, was the latter's first directorial endeavour. Angela Goodwin (born Angela Bucci, 1 August 1925 – 25 March 2016), was an Italian stage, film and television actress. Life and career Born in Rome, Goodwin was the daughter of an Italian-American father, and spent her youth in the US where she enrolled at several drama courses and started her professional career with a stage company in Washington. In the second half of the 1960s she came back to Italy, where she continued to work on stage with some of the major companies of the time, including the ones directed by Orazio Costa, Vittorio Gassman, Giancarlo Sbragia and Garinei & Giovannini. Francesco "Checco" Rissone (7 July 1909 – 26 September 1985) was an Italian film, stage and television actor. Life and career Rissone was born in Turin, the younger brother of the more famous Giuditta. He debuted on stage at a young age and often worked in the same companies as his sister. Graduating in economics, in the post-war years Rissone specialized in character roles, in films, television and particularly on stage, often working at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan under the direction of Giorgio Strehler.
