Vasilyev Brothers
Georgi Vasilyev (russian: Георгий Николаевич Васильев, 1899 – 1946) and Sergei Vasilyev (russian: Серге́й Дмитриевич Васильев, 1900 – 1959), usually credited as Vasilyev brothers (russian: Братья Васильевы) were two Russian Soviet film directors and screenwriters . In spite of the fact that the two collaborators weren't actually relatives, they accepted the popular misunderstanding that they were brothers and used it in the credits to their movies. Collaboration The two Vasilyevs became acquainted in 1925 on cinema production facilities in Moscow. After the studio Goskino merged with the Moscow branch of Sevzapkino to form Sovkino (later known as Lenfilm), the Vasilyevs found themselves working in the same editing room, often working jointly on the same films. Georgi Nikolayevich Vasilyev (russian: Гео́ргий Никола́евич Васи́льев) (25 November 1899 – 18 June 1946) was a Soviet and Russian film director, screenwriter and actor. From 1928 to 1943, together with Sergei Vasilyev (often jointly, though incorrectly credited as Vasilyev brothers), he co-directed several films, including an influential and critically acclaimed ''Chapaev'' (1934). Georgi Vasilyev received two Stalin Prizes in 1941 and 1942. ''Chapaev'' (russian: link=no, Чапаев, ) is a 1934 Soviet war film, directed by the Vasilyev brothers for Lenfilm. The film is a heavily fictionalised biography of Vasily Ivanovich Chapayev (1887–1919), a Red Army notable commander of the Russian Civil War. It is based on the novel of the same name by Dmitri Furmanov, a Russian writer and Bolshevik commissar who fought together with Chapayev. Plot The film centers around a Red Army division commanded by Vasily Chapayev in their fight against White Army troops commanded by Colonel Borodzin. A Commissar named Furmanov is delegated to the division from Moscow, and although he initially does not get along with Chapayev, he proves his worth by resolving a conflict that arises when Chapayev's men steal from local peasants and the two become good friends. The Women's March on Versailles, also known as the October March, the October Days or simply the March on Versailles, was one of the earliest and most significant events of the French Revolution. The march began among women in the marketplaces of Paris who, on the morning of 5 October 1789, were nearly rioting over the high price of bread. The unrest quickly became intertwined with the activities of revolutionaries seeking liberal political reforms and a constitutional monarchy for France. "Our Songs" is the title of the tenth single by Hello! Project unit Buono!. The group consists of Momoko Tsugunaga, Miyabi Natsuyaki and Airi Suzuki. The single was released on February 3, 2010 in Japan, under the Pony Canyon label in two different versions: regular and limited. The limited edition came with a serial number card that was used in a promotional draw, a special DVD, a Buono! trading card and an alternative cover. The DVD contains footage from the principal photography of the single. The first press of both editions came with a photo card. The Single V was released on December 22, 2009. The single peaked at #8 on the weekly Oricon charts, selling 13,220 copies in its first week.
