Erik Varden
Erik Varden, O.C.S.O. (born 13 May 1974) is a Norwegian Catholic spiritual writer, Trappist monk, and bishop-prelate of the Territorial Prelature of Trondheim since 1 October 2019. Early life and education Varden was born in a non-practising Lutheran family in South Norway and grew up in the village of Degernes. His Christian life was inspired by Tadeusz Hoppe. After school education in his native country, he continued to study at the Atlantic College, Wales (until 1992) and then at Magdalene College, Cambridge (1992–1995) with Master of Arts degree. He obtained a doctorate from St John's College, Cambridge and Licentiate of Sacred Theology at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome. He officially joined the Catholic Church in June 1993. Helga Varden is a Norwegian-American philosopher and Professor of Philosophy and Gender and Women Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was Brady Distinguished Visiting Professor in Ethics and Civic Life at Northwestern University between 2014-2015. She is known for her works on Kantian philosophy. Norma Varden Shackleton (20 January 1898 – 19 January 1989), known professionally as Norma Varden, was an English-American actress with a long film career. Life and career Early life Born in London, the daughter of a retired sea captain, Varden was a child prodigy. She trained as a concert pianist in Paris and performed in England before deciding to take up acting. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and made her first appearance as Mrs Darling in ''Peter Pan''. Theatre career In England, Varden was a protege of actress Kate Rorke. Varden Tsulukidze
Varden Tsulukidze ( ka, ვარდენ წულუკიძე) (1865 – 19 May 1923) was a Georgian military commander and anti-Soviet resistance leader. Of a noble family, Tsulukidze served in the Imperial Russian army and was promoted to the rank of major-general in World War I. He then commanded a brigade in a newly independent Democratic Republic of Georgia after whose fall to the Soviets (1921) he became one of the leaders of an underground independence movement. Tsulukidze was arrested by the Cheka along with his associates and shot at the outskirts of Tbilisi on 19 May 1923. Varden Conservation Area
Varden Conservation Area is a Pennsylvania state park on in Lake and South Canaan Townships, Wayne County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The conservation area is currently under development. The land was donated to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in December 2001 by Dr. Mead Shaffer a veterinarian and resident of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania in Delaware County. Dr. Shaffer stated his reason for donating the land, "Environmental education always has been a primary concern of mine. I trust this land will allow present and future generations to observe and study the diverse ecology found in the Varden Conservation Area." Varden Amfi is a football venue in Bergen, Norway. The stadium is currently used by FK Fyllingsdalen who plays in the Norwegian Second Division. It was formerly used by now dissolved clubs Løv-Ham and Fyllingen Fotball. It was originally opened in 1992, but upgraded to the Norwegian First Division standard in 2008. Before the upgrade Løv-Ham played at Krohnsminde which did not meet the Football Association's requirements.
