Vanes-Mari du Toit (born 2 August 1989) is a South African former netball player. She was a member of the South Africa national team and has 38 caps. She competed in the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore. She has also participated in the 2011 World Netball Series in Liverpool. In October 2012, she travelled with the Proteas to Australia and New Zealand to participate in the Quad Series tournament. In November 2012 she was a member of the Proteas Fast5 team in the 2012 Fast5 Netball World Series where she won a bronze medal. . Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria (Colloquially known as Meisies Hoër) is a public, Afrikaans medium high school for girls situated in the suburb of Clydesdale in Pretoria in the Gauteng province of South Africa. It is the sister school of the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool. History The Afrikaans Hogere Skool was established on 28 January 1920, in the house of General PJ Joubert. The address was 218 Visagie Street, Pretoria. It was considered as a rebel school because it was the first Afrikaans-language secondary school. Afrikaans was not an official language in South Africa then. The school opened its doors for boys and girls. A new school building was inaugurated on 26 January 1927 and in 1930, separate schools for girls and boys, Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool and Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool respectively, were established. Yorkshire Jets were an English netball team based at Leeds Beckett University. Their senior team played in the Netball Superleague. Between 2005–06 and 2011 they played as Leeds Met Carnegie or simply Leeds Carnegie. Together with the men's basketball, women's basketball, men's association football, women's association football and rugby union teams, the netball team was one of several sports teams associated with the Carnegie School of Physical Education, now part of Leeds Beckett University, that used the Leeds Carnegie brand name. The Netball League of South Africa (known for sponsorship purposes as the Telkom Netball League) is the leading semi-professional netball league in South Africa. History On 16 April 2014, Netball South Africa announced that the first semi-professional netball league ever to play in Africa would be launched. Juicing company Brutal Fruit (subsidiary of South African Breweries) were signed as the league's naming-rights sponsor for five years, ensuring the competition would be known as the Brutal Fruit Netball Cup.
