V. P. Krishnan
V.P. Krishnan (born Vasudevan P Krishnan, 2 May 1930 – 13 October 1996) was a Malayalam film editor. He worked in over five hundred films in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages. This makes him one of the few editors to have worked for five of the biggest film industries in India. A busy editor during his day, Krishnan always maintained a low profile. A few notable Tamil films that he worked on include '' Polladhavan'', '' Paritchaikku Neramaachu'', ''Andaman Kadhali'', ''Mounam Sammadham'', '' Karnan'' (as assistant), '' Vaai Kozhuppu'', and ''Keezh Vaanam Sivakkum''. He won three Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Editor: 1967-68 for '' Belli Moda'', 1974-75 for ''Upasane'' and in 1983-84 for '' Amrutha Ghalige''. He won the Nandi Award for Best Editor for ''Magaadu''. He was closely associated in several projects with former Kannada director Puttanna Kanagal. He also worked with the directors K. Polladhavan (1980 Film)
''Polladhavan'' () is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film produced by S. Ravi, written and directed by his father Muktha Srinivasan. A remake of the 1976 Kannada film ''Premada Kanike'', it stars Rajinikanth, Lakshmi and Sripriya. The film revolves around a wealthy merchant who keeps his daughter's nanny, an eyewitness to a murder committed by him, captive in his house. Rajinikanth initially wanted to star in a Tamil remake of the Hindi film '' Vishwanath'' (1978), but as Ravi did not like the film, they decided to collaborate on a different project, eventually choosing to remake ''Premada Kanike'' which Rajinikanth had already seen and liked. The film was shot mainly in Bangalore, with additional shooting taking place in Madras, Shimla and Kashmir. ''Polladhavan'' was released on 6 November 1980, Diwali. Nandi Award
The Nandi Awards are the awards that recognise the excellence in Telugu cinema, Telugu theatre and Telugu television, and Lifetime achievements in Indian cinema. Presented annually by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the award is named after the big granite bull at Lepakshi — a cultural and historical symbol of the Telugu people. Muktha Srinivasan (1929 – 2018) was an Indian film director and producer. Personal life V. Srinivasan was born in Malapuram on 31 October 1929 in a Tamil Brahmin family. His parents were Venkatachariar and Chellamma. He followed all Brahmin rituals sincerely throughout his life. He remained a vegetarian. His elder brother is Muktha Ramaswamy and his sister is Revathi. He married Prema in 1951. He has three children Muktha S. Sundar, also a director, Mukhta Ravi and Maya.Muktha srinivasan is the founder of Muktha films. His elder grandson Suseendran who acted in movies like Kashmora and Echarikkai is now the Managing director of Muktha films. Shubraveshti Ramaswamiah Seetharama Sharma (1 December 1933 – 5 June 1985), known popularly as S. R. Puttanna Kanagal, was an Indian filmmaker known for his work in Kannada cinema. ''Paritchaikku Neramaachu'' () is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by Muktha Srinivasan and produced by Muktha Ramaswamy. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Sujatha, Thengai Srinivasan and Y. G. Mahendran. It is based on Mahendran's play of the same name. The film was released on 14 November 1982. Plot Sivaji has a son. The son is considered an idiot on account of his inability to clear exams and get a job. While leaving to appear for an exam, in the hurry, he dies in a bus accident. Sivaji's wife becomes mentally ill due to it. Sivaji then runs into his son's look alike who is a rowdy. He asks him to play his son to cure his wife. The look alike agrees as he is temporarily on the run from the cops. Eventually he becomes a good guy and Sivaji and wife adopt as well as accept him as their own son.
