Uzbekistan Pro League (Uzbek language, Uzbek: ''O'zbekiston Pro Ligasi'') is a association football, professional football league in Uzbekistan, and currently the second level after the Uzbekistan Super League. History Since the foundation in 1992 and until the end of 2017 was called the "Uzbekistan First League" (Uzbek language, Uzbek: ''O'zbekiston Birinchi ligasi / Ўзбекистон Биринчи лигаси''; Russian language, Russian: ''Первая лига Узбекистана''). Structure of the league On 21 November 2017 according to the ''UzPFL'' management decision the ''Uzbekistan First League'' was officially renamed to ''Uzbekistan Pro League'' starting from the 2018 season. The league has been reduced from 18 (2017) to 16 teams. In 2018 in the Pro League Uzbekistan involved 16 teams in a double round system (30 rounds), home and away. Uzbekistan Professional Football League, briefly UzPFL (Uzbek language, Uzbek: ''O'zbekiston professional futbol ligasi / Ўзбекистон профессионал футбол лигаси'') — is a Uzbekistani sports Association football, football organization, founded in 2008. Is the main governing body of all divisions of the Uzbekistan Super League, Uzbekistan Championship, also Uzbek Cup, Uzbekistan Cup and Uzbekistan Super Cup. History In 1992, it was part of the organizational structure of the Football Federation of Uzbekistan and was the division responsible for holding professional football competitions in Uzbekistan. In early 2008, the Asian Football Confederation recommended the Football Federation of Uzbekistan to establish the PFL as a separate organization. Sergey Lebedev (footballer)
Sergey Elefertovich Lebedev (russian: Сергей Элефертович Лебедев) (born 31 January 1969 in the Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union) is a retired football midfielder. Lebedev is a former Uzbekistani international, who obtained a total number of 33 caps during his career, scoring ten goals. He later became a football coach. Playing career Lebedev started playing professionally in ''Turbina Naberezhnye Chelny'' in 1985. He completed 3 seasons for ''Turbina'' and wento to FC Dynamo Kirov in 1988. In 1989–91 he played for Neftyanik Fergana and 1990 he won Soviet Second League with club and promoted to Soviet First League. In 1992–1999 he played for Neftchi Farg'ona and won 4 times Uzbekistani championship and two Uzbek Cups. He became Neftchi's ''best League goalscorer'' in 1996 and 1998 seasons. FC Shurtan Guzar ( uz, Sho'rtan G'uzor professional futbol klubi or Шўртан Ғузор футбол клуби) is an Uzbek football club based in G‘uzor, Uzbekistan. History During its first years the club played in the lower divisions of Uzbekistan. In 2006 FC Shurtan made its debut in the Uzbek League. The 2010 season was the club's most successful season when they finished 4th in the league and were runners-up in the Uzbek Cup. In the quarter-final of the Uzbek Cup they beat Pakhtakor on aggregate and Lokomotiv Tashkent in the semi-final. Shurtan lost in the Final match, played in Tashkent, to Bunyodkor.
