Uzbek Tigers
The Uzbek Tigers are Uzbek amateur and a semi-professional boxing team that has competed in the WSB World Series of Boxing since season from 2016 to 2018. In the first debut season in 2016 Uzbek Tigers won the bronze medal of WSB tournier. For the Team fought Olympic Games and AIBA World Championship medalists like Hasanboy Dusmatov, Fazliddin Goibnazarov, Bakhodir Jalolov, Shakhram Giyosov, Murodjon Akhmadalaiev and many others. History Uzbek Tigers team founded under the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan and National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan in 2015 and started to compete in the popular boxing series from the VI season. The competitors were allowed to maintain Olympic and AIBA world championship eligibility. The team was given the status of the National Team of the Republic of Uzbekistan in professional boxing. The World Series of Boxing or WSB was an international boxing tournament that allowed amateur boxers to compete professionally while maintaining amateur status and Olympic eligibility. It was organized by AIBA from 2010 to 2018. AIBA confirmed in 2019 that the league had ceased operations amid mounting financial losses. History The World Series of Boxing had a precursor in the International Boxing League, a short-lived U.S. venture established in November 1969 after the first U.S.—Soviet boxing dual meet in 1969. The league functioned until 1971 and hosted several exhibition tours of the Soviet boxing team across the United States to cities where IBL teams were located. Light Flyweight
Light flyweight, also known as junior flyweight or super strawweight, is a weight class in boxing. Professional boxing The weight limit at light flyweight in professional boxing is 108 pounds (49 kilograms). When New York legalized boxing in 1920, the law stipulated a "junior flyweight" class, with a weight limit of 99 pounds. When the National Boxing Association was formed in 1921, it also recognized this weight class. However, on January 19, 1922, the NBA decided to withdraw recognition of the junior flyweight division. On December 31, 1929, the New York State Athletic Commission also abolished the junior flyweight class. No champion had been crowned in this division prior to its abolition. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports.
