Uzbek League Top Scorer
In Uzbek football, Uzbekistan Super League Topscorer ( uz, Oʻzbekiston Superligasi to'purari or Ўзбекистон Суперлигаси тўпурари) is an annual award by Uzbekistan Football Association given to the top goalscorer at the end of the Uzbekistan Super League season, the top domestic league competition in club football in Uzbekistan, since its creation in 1992. Jafar Irismetov is the only player who won award 3 times and the goalscorer scored most per season with 45 goals in 2000. Brazilian forward Rivaldo became the first foreign player won ''Uzbekistan Super League Top Scorer'' award in 2009, scoring 20 goals. Serbian striker Dragan Ćeran is the only foreign player who became ''The top goalscorer'' twice: 2019, 2020. Association Football, Football is the most popular sport in Uzbekistan, a country that gained Uzbek independence election, 1991, independence in 1991. The national association takes part in all competitions organised by FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation. History of football in Uzbekistan Soviet Period Football in Uzbekistan started to develop in the 1920s. In 1926, the first championship of the Uzbek SSR (i.e. Uzbek League) was held. Sbornaya Tashkenta and Sokol Tashkent were the most successful clubs in the competition. However the most successful club was FC Pakhtakor, the only football club from Uzbek SSR that played in the USSR Top League with 22 seasons. The Uzbekistan Football Federation was founded in 1946. Berador Abduraimov is the most famous Uzbekistani footballer during the Soviet period. The 2004 Uzbek League season was the 13th edition of top level football in Uzbekistan since independence from the Soviet Union in 1992. Pakhtakor were the defending champions from the 2003 campaign. Qizilqum Zarafshon ( uz, Qizilqum Zarafshon futbol klubi, Қизилқум Зарафшон футбол клуби), is an Uzbek professional football club based in Zarafshon. They play in the Uzbekistan Super League. Club is named after the biggest desert in the Central Asia, Qizilqum. Qizilqum in Uzbek literally means ''Red Sands''. History Qizilqum was founded in 1967 under the name ''Progress''. The club changed its name several times and was known as ''Qizilqum'' before becoming known as ''Progress''. Since 1997 it has played as ''Qizilqum''. The club made its debut in the Uzbek League in 2000. In its first season the club finished in 11th position. One year later, in the 2001 season, the club finished in 6th place in final League table. FK Andijan
Football Club Andijan, also known as FC Andijan, is an Uzbek football club based in Andijan. The club plays in Uzbekistan Super League. History The club was formed 1964 under the name ''Spartak''. In 1969 the club was renamed ''Andijanez''. After 1990 the club played in Uzbek League as ''Navruz Andijan''. Since 1997 the club has played as ''FK Andijan''. In 1964–70, 1973–74 and 1986–91 the club played in Soviet League championships. On 22 August 2012 club hired Azamat Abduraimov as head coach to help Andijan remain in the top division, however the club was relegated to the Uzbekistan First League.
